Default Guide me please. Need help!!! E46 M3/ AP1 / NA2 / EVO9 / R35

UPDATE FOR THOSE RETARDS WHO CAN'T SEE THE ORIGINAL POST DATE!!!
I NOW HAVE 2005 SILVER E46 M3 SMG.
IF YOU HAVE STUPID COMMENT, KEEP IT TO YOURSELF!!!

well guys, i've come to deadend and need to make decision but can't really decide what to do.
i want some intelligent inputs from others before i make my decision.

I have about 10~15k to spend on car right now and rest need to be financed.
I really want the new GT-R but no word on NNA on preorder yet and wonder how much dealer markup will be since nissan won't regulate markups.
so here are my choices, help me decide.
I'm planning to spend $30k total without tax and registration except for NSX because i want to trade in the car later to get GT-R.

1. 2003 E46 M3 with SMG/Navi Full option with 31000miles for $30000

My top option now, no need to modify i think. any input?

2. 02/03 AP1 with low mile between $15~20k

Only looking for 02 GPW or 02/03 NFR.
if purchased, want to get I/H/E/Tune & hardtop, or SC/TC with tune.
however, i lose all that money for mods when i trade-in the car for GT-R

3. 1999 NSX Zarnardi Edition

been searching for more than a year now. having extremely difficult time finding virgin one.

4. 2009 GT-R

would like to wait, but i need the car until it comes out.
and who know how much dealer will markup the car?
it might be a while until it settles

5. 2006 Evo 9MR under 20000miles for under $28000

similar story as M3. not planning to mod. but many evo's i've driven are abused. hard to find good evo for good price.

6. 2007 350Z Grand Touring new for $29000

i liked how my 06 Z moved. since 07 got HR engine with upgraded output it'd be better.

current ride is 2006 350Z Touring automatic.
I bought because it was so cheap. it was used with 22000miles for $22000.
Leaving SOCAL in about 3 weeks.
my g/f(future wife) will be driving it from now on since her dad took over the payment.

i am dumb for not wanting another s2k???
i've had s2k before and i love the car. is it perfect? no
i listed my options above and s2k is part of it because i can't stay away from s2k.
i've asked for intelligent feedback, not ignorant feedback
because i will end up trading in the car for something else
and modding s2k will never give me same value of buying different car with higher performance to begin with.
however is m3 or evo9 perfect? no. does it perform better than s2k? yes

i ask here because many members move to or moved from evo, m3, nsx etc. and want their feedback on making wise decision.
if i could, i would keep the s2k and mod it and buy another car.
however, i do not believe i can afford new gt-r n s2k

btw, i have no reason and energy to argue with 19 year old kid.
s2k might be the best car you could afford but not me.
also, this would be temp. car until i get my hands on the gt-r
unless i can find unraped virgin zarnardi before i get my hand on gt-r.

i've considered both 07/08 AP2 & CR too.
if i were to keep the car long enough, i'd might go for new 07 ap2,
but their resale value isn't great as cars of couple years old compare to purchase price.
must save every penny while i can b/c financing gt-r will result of about $30~45k in debt.(plan to break CD if interest is too high)

i would go for the e46 m3.

I think you need to make your own decision, not let a bunch of internet dweebs (me included) tell you whats what.

Ultimately, they are all different in their own ways. You need to find what meets your needs and suits you the best, and make the decision yourself.

i'm starting to think it was mistake to ask this question. i'll choose between m3 or evo9 because those two seem like most logical option as in keeping their resale value without mods. when the time comes, i'll get another s2k, but not right now.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by ReddotsS2K &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">besides with only 15 grand in the bank it doesnt sound like you could afford much either *****

</TD></TR></TABLE>

according to my other post, i've said i plan to break my cd if interest is too high on the gt-r.
unlike you 18 yr old *****, i have more than 1 bank account.
that 15k i plan to spend right now for temporary car is my car fund, not my entire money. so STFU!!!
this is reason why i hate replies from younger crowd.

p.s. - that quote from reddotss2k was emailed to me by automatic message notifier. i'm not sure if he decide to delete the post but came in my mail.

yay some progress lol. After my s2k was totaled, I was choosing between another s2k, and an e46 m3. Ultimately, I went with an Evo because it would be paid off, and I wouldn't be making payments leaving $ to be saved for something more important like a house.

i do have more money for it.
as invest wise, i do have high yielding cd account.
is it stupid to buy $70k+ car? yes, but who know's when i'll die?

yes, i was once 18, in fact everyone went through that age to get past that.
i don't hate young people. some are more mature than older guys.

also what guarantees you that you will be getting that company for sure?
couple weeks ago, my mom's best friend got stabbed many times by her boyfriend and was killed. it was big on the media too.
her only daughter was supposed to get her business, but things aren't looking good for her.
hope things go as you planned tho

thats a good point

i dont really see the point in finacing like 50-60k for a nsx when your just going to trade it in, but if you want to you should try dupontregistry.com, that is baller certified only

i use to get the magazine all the time when i was a kid and there use to be the zandari nsx's all the time in it.

how about just a s2000 with a fullrace gt30r turbo kit and some aem ems and a thick headgasket to tide you over, 500whp

it's most likely to happen that dealers will put uge markup on the car.
however, i have no intention of buying that car with markup.
so for the time being until markup drops, i want to be in a car that can maintain it's vaule but also fun to drive with good power/performance.

my most likely scenario was to buy m3/evo9 to begin with but my love for s2000 was still there.
but i know if i got another s2000, i won't leave it stock and by modding it, i'd lose money.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by ap1lvr &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">whats your interest rate on your cd? </TD></TR></TABLE>

my rate was at 5.65%. it's maturing in about a year.
the rates now isn't that great. however, i like the fact that BoA runs 4.75% special for 4month short term which doesn't lock up your money.
i think orange cd is highest now with 4.9% but that's for 60month
however they also offer 4.7% for 6month program.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Black S2K &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">hey man I was just playing around u didn't have to get all mature on my ***. it would've been nice if this was your original post.
yes, i do think evo is most practical option out of all, awd/4dr etc.
i plan to leave both m3/evo9 in stock form.
it'd retain it's value well too.
anyone chime me in on ups and down on having 2003 m3 w/ smg or 2006 evo9 mr?
i picked smg model over regular manual tranny, because most used m3's i've driven or read was with abused tranny.
thank you

you are absolutely right, i have no garuntee. right now i am going to school for business and i/t so hopefully i wont have a problem finding a descent job incase somehting does not go as planned.

as for the new skyline gt-r or whatever it is, i wouldnt pay 70+ for it. there is plenty of beautiful cars out there within that price range.

Personally if i was able to afford i nicer car than my s2k, i would go for the E46 m3 or the nsx

do you have any interest in the exige?

elise/exige is also beautiful car.
practical wise, not really.
i don't think i can even carry 2set of golf clubs with this car.
also, i do like the car but i'd want it with either k20 swap or one that was imported whieback by sun motorsports that came with b18c

gt-r was my dream car. i've wanted it even before it got popular in the states through gay movie f&f.
i even thought about importing one, but it being RHD, and that it has no warranty or someone i can rely on when it breaks down stopped me.
and i believe R33 is only skyline that is legal to import

for $70k, i also could find 911 turbo, but it'd older, abused, inferior car than R35.

can i afford to pay for cars at higher price? yes, but will i be willing to? no.
there are lots of beautiful supercars GT3/R8/997 Turbo/Vantage/Alfa 8C.
is the gt-r as beautifully created as they are? not really.
however, the gt-r is special car to me that i'd be willing to put my money over investing at something like property or some type of fund account.
it'd probably only car on the market that i'd be willing to buy above $30k.

i picked $30k or below range for now, because in case i end up not buying gt-r due to extreme markup, it gives me freedom/flexibility to do something else.
but i wouldn't buy new car for $30k because it doesn't hold value well.

i also thought about going after used nsx for under $30k.
but it'd be over 15yrs old, have lots of miles on it.
if i want to get any nsx, i'd only want 97 or newer, but that would result lot more money.
and i'm not too crazy about nsx as gt-r.
even tho 99 zarnardi nsx comes out, if the owner is asking unreasonable price for it, i'd just pass it.

someone mentioned dupontregistry
cars on that site is joke, as in japanese cars.
nsx with full osterich leather??? for MY99 for $89500

evo/300zx/supra/rx-7 don't fall in exotic/supercar category.
