Default Is this a good price?

I found a 2004 Suzuka Blue S2000 in my area on craigslist.

Year: 2004
Model: S2000
Mileage: 39,500
Price: $23,000

Y'all think this is a good deal or too good to be true?

Seems kinda rediculous, because I've DD'd my car to **** once and managed 18k in 6 months. He drove that car A LOT. Or its BS.

$23,000 is about the maximum and that is pushing it. Closer to 20K is probably more my range actually.

if 20k is somewhat pushing the envelope then you should wait.... cause that means you can't really afford one....

you gotta keep in mind...
1. insurance
2. tires are expensive on this car and you'll be replacing them a lot.. every 10-15k miles.. so thats like once every year (roughly)
3. you living in maryland (you do get snow once in a while) and you're going to want to run some winter tires (like mostly everyone else in this area) cuase cold so2's are bad.... so thats another set of wheels (maybe) and some blizzack tires every year...
4. if something breaks it's not cheap to fix it
5. if you plan on modding... modding is expensive as hell, you gotta be a baller to mod (seriously)
6. gas

Gas isn't all that bad. The other things he listed will make or break you though.

sorry got you mixed up with someone else on the md/va part... even so.. we get snow in va too... lol

$1928 a year?? or 6 months?

$1800 a month isn't much in northern va area..... thats pretty low on the income side.. especially if you live on your own.. (now if you're bumming off your parents thats a different story)

I live with my parents and pay them for rent, half medical insurance and cell phone. I wouldn't say it is bumming at all. That is 445$ a month until February and then it is $320 a month after that starting in March. $1928 a year in insurance.

^ bumming as in you're not paying rent..... you probably know this but it's hard to even get a 1 bedroom apartment for under $1200 a month here..

I can only afford $19K max right now so I am going to check out an 02 for $18,700 with 5x,xxx miles

I wait, I can afford more, simple as that.

For reference what I have driven:
1996 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera(High school)
1989 Buick Century(College)
1995 Chevy S-10(current)

I have to agree with ^^^. Yellow happens to be the slowest color that gets old the fastest.

Drive down here and get this one: (remember "nego" is you friend)
http://cars.com/go/search/deta...ional

Or if you can splurge get this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem

Good luck and PM me if you want me to check one out for you. If I test drive one or the other, I'll have a clear conscience knowing that I'm doing it for reasons other that personal satisfaction.

I am going to check out this one tomorrow. One owner. Y'all think I should get a compression test done? He had everything done at Landmark Honda in Alexandria...a very reputable dealership. My parents have bought 2 cars brand new from them. I am pretty excited because if it goes through this will be the first car I have bought, and I am 23.
