Default Which gas do you use?

In the manual it says use 91 or above. Does anyone use 91 or below? Will it hurt the engine or should i keep running it in 93?

run the top that you can find. otherwise you'll get some knocking problems.

for one trip out to california from texas years ago, I did manage to get by with 87, but not recommended. it also hurt milage. yes, hurt it.

If your car is stock, don't waste money going over 91.

Some states have higher octanes than others. Here in WA, we get 92. I feel bad for the squirrel pee that California gets for their "supreme unleaded."

In the owners manual it says you can use "non-premium" gasoline but performance will be affected.

as others have said, you wont save money running less than recommended in the long run. It'll take it's toll over the long run in terms of engine life.

Here we have 87,89,and some places have 91, some 92, and some 93. Shell (and i think amaco) has 93, speedway and adminral have 92, and the rest just have 91.

Some places sell different octane ratings due to their altitude. So if you live in a higher altitude like Denver or something, the 91 will work just as well there as the 93 will in Dallas or some near-sea level city. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

I don't buy that, especially since Indiana has crap for gas with various additives that are supposed to be more environmentally friendly. when an octane is around 93... it is actually far less than that.

Yeah, I'm full of ****. I've lived in IN for 20 years and know of one gas station locally where I can purchase 114 octane and one in Loogootee, IN (1.5hrs away) where I can purchase 104 octane.

Lately, Union 76 unleaded 100 octane racing gas. It's almost reasonable with the price of premium up so much and the quality down.

I run 93, it's currently $2.07 near my house. Hopefully it will keep going down.

3 types of petrol here: Regular 95, Super 97, and shell have Optimax which is 98+. We do pay the equivalent of $6.95/gallon!
