Default Friend installed a new part on his S2000...

Dyno numbers coming soon.

The gains will be minimal with the stock engine, but it's in preparation for what's coming soon. I'll post updates.

I knew someone was going to say that... its obviously not mounted yet and the white cable will be routed with the rest of the factory harness. Everything fits behind the factory kick panel and cannot be seen. The ecu will be mounted on an aluminum plate using the same bolts as the factory ecu. All factory wires were de pinned from the ecu (not cut like most installs) and fitted to the M800 connectors. there are no butt, or spade connectors and all the factory controls still work. I don't think its gets much cleaner than that.

I will eventually run the car time attack but my wallet is only so deep so for now its just a fun street car that ill track every time i get the chance. The next mods will be an accelerometer added to the M800 system along with suspension, wheels and tires

Nice, Motec street car = ballin. How much did that setup cost? What is reliability and daily drivability like with the M800 for a daily?

It's going on here soon, we'll have some numbers up tonight.

I'm going to make a guess, at around 225whp. We'll see.

Once the bracket gets here, it'll be very well out of the way, in the stock mounting location, cleanly behind the kick panel.

The M800 is pretty badass but it doesnt have an OBD-II port lol maybe the next model... It would certainly pass emissions on a dyno test but since everything is done with a scan tool now it wouldnt.

The daily drivability and reliability are both better than stock

^ Comparing AEM to Motec, is like comparing a stone, to a diamond.

AEM's great if you're only looking to spend $1,000 or so on your ECU, but Motec's in an entirely different realm. Ever hear that saying, "AEM EMS: It works every time... 60% of the time."

Do some research on AEM, and how it's inferior to Motec.

its not common to see motec in an s2000 in the states. most people here only heard the name from f & f. when i was out in japan everyone is running motec.

Why not?
This dyno obviously reads high, as the baseline put down 218whp.
He managed to get around 215whp for "normal" numbers, which is completely within reason. Most car manufacturers want the engine to last forever so never tune it to the full potential.
