Default differential oil question

Hi, what brand of oil do you use in your rear differential??
I'm planning to change mine and I don't know what to use.
And how many quarts must I use?
Also for the transmission, what brand and how many quarts of oil do you use??
Thank for the help!!

Default Re: differential oil question (christion)

If you don't want to go OEM, you have a few choices:

Redline 75w90
Lubrication Engineers LE607 Almasol
Royal Purple GearMax, same as above, different bottle.

The latest Honda MTL is excellent tranny oil.

DO NOT get the diff oil from the dealer...they may accidently sell you CRV diff oil, which will kill an s2k diff.

Default mobil 1

I just replaced mines on ap2 with mobil 1 75w fully synthetic or blue bottle, I used most of it. But you will need a 23mm wrench for the fill bolt, no socket I had would fit...

drain is 24mm get some kind of pump too if you diy
