Best Aftermarket seats for Americans
Hey,
When ever I get my car running I'm thinking of getting aftermarket seats so that I can sit lower in the car and get a little more support. I'm only 6'0 and 175 (waist 34) but most of the JDM seats crushing my hips (trust me I couldn't even get into a few)
So the question is whats the best aftermarket seats that won't crush the my hips and baby makers?
So far I've found the below seats that MIGHT work:
Bride Stradia II Sport Low Max Reclining Seat
http://www.gotuning.com/product_info...oducts_id=1219
Bride Digo Reclining Seat
http://www.gotuning.com/product_info...oducts_id=1228
Bride Stradia Sport Low Max Reclining Seat
http://www.gotuning.com/product_info...oducts_id=1216
Bride Cuga type-HL Reclining Seat
http://www.gotuning.com/product_info...oducts_id=1236
Any other suggestions?

You would be surprised, allot of seats put you up HIGHER then stock. Stick to stock, and just modify the seats to sit lower, it's not that hard.

I just found the link (from searching on honda-tech) and fast beat me too it...
You can also get aftermarket seat rails for the stock seats. BYS makes them along with some other brand I can't remember the name of right now.

I'm pretty sure i've seen a local S with recaros w/ recaro rails that were sitting lower than stock. Had the typical recaro name on the side of the rails think it was authentic.

Not sure what year your car is, but for '06 and up the seat rails have SRS sensors in them. I've been told not to *** with them, but any earlier years then by all means get the lower rails.

Seriously? I'm 5'11 and 175. My 32 waist pants are falling off...but 31s are too snug. So we'll call me a 31.5 waist. I fit into my Recaro Pole Positions just fine with room to spare...I almost wish they were snugglier like my blankey. I don't know what country of original Recaros are from...but I fit great. They're fixed position buckets and they're very comfy.
Some people just like wider seats, though. So Iduno. With a 34 waist...you really shouldn't have any issues fitting into almost any seat.
Are you sure it's 34 and not 36-38? You could just be "husky", you know. Lots of people are husky. Nothing wrong with that.

Re: Best Aftermarket seats for Americans
youre the same size as me... and i absolutely love my recaro pole position. the spg is a little too snug on my ribcage, otherwise i would have gotten then
i live outside of Philly, so if you want to meet up i would be glad to so you could test the seat's comfort out

They sucked in my S2000! I never tried them with anything other then the bride rails but they were a total joke. There was no way I was fitting in the car with them. I think buckets are the only way to go in the S if you want aftermarket.

Re: Best Aftermarket seats for Americans
recaro pole position would fit you very well. with some rails, the seat rubs the floor and lowers you about 3 inches.
