852 hp s2000 in super street
in the new super street there is an 852hp turbo s2000.
it is probably the single ******* ugliest thing i have ever witnessed, but its pretty impressive in terms of power.
the owner is a total JDM nut, and he goes a bit overboard.

and the fenders, and the wheels, and the etc, etc.
personally i think the underside of my ***** has more asthetic apeal.
the thing i found fishy about the article, was that there was no mention of pistons or sleeving.
also, you dont see an 850hp S2000 on every street corner, but they seemed a little unexcited in the article.

We at Laskey Racing built the motor. It has CP pistons and Benson sleeves. As far as HP claims, hehe...thats on the owner...I dont know anything about that

Super Street sucks. All it has are chrome rims and stupid stereos. They are the leading edge of what makes the import scene lame. I'm glad manufacturers make factory tuned cars that look better and run better than cars with the shitty mods that are available in mags like Super Street. There are good parts available but I just wish the bodykit/neon light phase would die.

Thats ******* hilarious...leave it to super street to print worthless garbage. Its a shame that he owns an S2000, i figured most S2000 owners would have enough class not to lie about their car or horsepower ratings...oh well, they come in all shapes and sizes huh...

Here is what I was told from Chris, Inline pro built him a stroker motor. He received it and the motor had no oil pressure. Inline pro told him not to have anyone open the motor and to just send it back. Chris then contacted us about building him a motor. We did not build a stroker motor. We used a factory 2.2 liter crank. Chris then took the motor from our place and had anouther shop do the motor install and tuning.

Re: (fknfast)
if there is no dyno sheet then it can't not be believed..... i could claim that i got 1000rwhp in my S... but without a dyno sheet it means nothing...

Re: (03s2kblue)
there is actually a dyno sheet posted in the magazine. It would be nice if the owner chimed in on the boards (h-t or s2ki). There is a lot of interest in the application.

Chris is the owner of the vehicle in question. I am just writting the facts of what I was told from the s2000 owner, Chris. I cant tell you if inline pro built him a motor or not...I am just telling you what Chris told us when he came to us for his motor build. There is a dyno graph posted in the magazine. I dont know if its real or made up. I personally have never seen it in person. I can tell you this though, we built that motor to handle that kind of hp. We are useing a s2000 motor in our new racecar and expect to see in the neighborhood of 1000whp on alchohol and a very large turbo

It will be a new engine program to us. We were useing the B series motors making arounf 800hp and running them for many races with no issues. I feel that we can run a whole season on the same motor if we can nail the tune in the car. Of course most likely we will have it apart here and there though...cause thats racing!

Re: 852 hp s2000 in super street (Mr.E.G.)
I am suprised the owner has not posted on this board. The last I heard he was banned on s2ki until some of his selling issues had been resolved (aka collecting money and never sending out parts that were paid for). I know that he had told a highly regaurded member of s2ki that he was going to purchase a part from him and lead him to think that he sent the money when in fact he never did and that is not even what he is banned for. Bottom line, from outward appearance, this guy deserves no respect. As for his car goes, I guess this proves that you can still put $80k worth of JDM parts on a car and not make it look good.

amen
also, Laskey, if your good name is on this thing, wouldnt you want to talk some sense into this jamoke.
also i would like to add that, i didnt find this hard to believe at all. i think this kind of power is definatley doable in an S2000, i just really didnt think that this particular s2000 had that kind of power. i cant put my finger on the reason, i guess i was skeptical based on how goddamn gay the car looked.
i think most people who perpetuate the "s2000 cant make power" rumor, are whinney pussies who have done stuff incorrectly. it took a lot of blown up b series to get to where they are now. the f20 will have its own set of hurdles, but when it all comes down to it, this motor is stronger in every way than a b series, and in the hands of the right person, they will be able to make rediculous power.
sadly enough, finding people that know how to make reliable power, and a driver that knows how to manage the power, as well as knowing limits of his car, are a rare thing, indeed.

i'm not trying to be a dick by saying this, but its this skeptical kind of attitude that just adds to this whole thing. of course a 1000hp 4 cylinder is going to need a rebuild every so often. people allways try to discredit an accomplishment, by finding stiplulations that shouldnt have enough merit to discredit anything about it.
to me its like reverse bench racing. instead of cooking up bs results, people say,"yeah it beats a ferrari, but the ferrari is stock", or " so what if an s2000 outhandles my mustang, its still slower" or what ever.
i really think that a lot of it has to do with the fact that most people sincerley do not want others to succed where they have failed or lack the means to do so.
very typical of poor people who spend all day convincing themselves that they are better than rich people because they dont need material possesions, or any other of a million examples.
i didnt mean to go on a rant, i really wasnt trying to attack honda9krpm
or anyone else for that matter, i am just tired of all of the disbelief for something that is very possible.
i bet if this guy really was making all of the power he says he is, a lot of poeple who blew up thier f20c's on 8 lbs of boost would not believe him, just because they couldnt pull it off.
