Why so negative?

If it wasn't for people like this guy, we would never know the limits of the stock blocks.

Do it up, and report back, best of luck!!

690 is the record on stock piston rods.. do not know if he had head work or a head gasket.

this guys motor is 100% stock other than the ap2 oil jets

The motor will easily outlast the rear end... hopefully you dont have slicks because you won't get more than 3 passes out of it. But that's just a perfect opportunity to upgrade it.

Nice setup! Stock block on one pull doesn't equate to much IMO, we'll see what longterm reliability is.

Have you never seen drag guys run stocks blocks all year long? There's many b,h,f,k stock blocks above 500whp all day don't know why this would be any different. On pump might not last but on race gas should last all day.

There's a guy running 9.7s on a stock k20 block made multiple passes...

he is in the process of building a race motor that will more than handle anything he can throw at it.

At this point, he doesn't seem to worry much if its going to blow up since other people have made 50-60 more hp and last.

It's all good, more a point of observation than outright criticism.

The amount of money spend putting a 2jZ in the S2000 would be a waste of time. You could have build the S2000 motor and rear end for cheaper then the 2JZ swap.
