Re: POST YOUR RUCKUS!
first thing..
-get a HJC/Arai/Simpson/Icon basically anything dot approved
-get rid of the rear mudguard
-get a lowered seat frame NCY or PASSWORD JDM, ditch the stock
-then get rid of the foot guard and get a black gas cover and get a black frame bar unless you want a polished one. (colors depend on the color your ruckus will be)
-then throw pegs on it for more comfort
-i suggest you not invest in any upgrade on the 49cc and save up straight for the gy6 150cc swap. costs around $1,800 for the kit to do yourself and rougly 250-350 for the thing installed 2250 i believe pushes up to 60mph. (comes w/ wheel extension/exhaust/new rim/tire) there's shops located in San Gabriel Valley
-get a lowered hand rail bar so that your rear brake line reaches the engine or else you won't be able to brake w/ the rear once the kit is installed. (Tnt look/Z bar etc)
-get a front disk brake conversion (optional for looks)
-Paint your battery box, frame, seat frame(optional), light bar(optional)
-upgrade mph meter w/ a digital.
-save up for new wheels, or get a rear fattie tire.. (may decrease turning abilities)
-loose body weight for speed.
-Customize the rest to your liking
-Enjoy meets and ride outs on Sunday @ the hat in SGV. (community chill)
i don't got a ruckus yet.. selling my f2's & rims and i'm gonna ****** one. but these are a little typical upgrades most people do.. atleast what i'm gonna do haha.
gl w/ your ruckus. maybe i'll see you in sgv riding out one time in the future.

good advice, but you can mod the 49cc to make it more fun without going crazy. i've spent maybe $300 on go fast stuff and mine will do 42-43 on flats and 50+ downhill....

Re: POST YOUR RUCKUS!
I have a K&N filter on the stock intake pipe, Yosh trc exhaust(jetted the carb for intake and exhaust), kevlar belt, polini variator, blue clutch springs and stock Ruckus roller weights. My top end and midrange is alot better, but my acceleration is probably the biggest improvement!! My acceleration is good enough that when my other buddies are struggling on slight hills or heavy wind I can pull away from them.

Re: POST YOUR RUCKUS!
According to this website:
http://www.dmv.ca.gov/motorcycles/motorcycles.htm
a ruckus is described as a "motor drive cycle."
A Motor Driven Cycle has to be registered and driver must have a Motor cycle license (M1).
So what's the final word - do all of you have M2's or M1's?

Re: POST YOUR RUCKUS!
The guy I bought mine from said you're not required to have a motorcycle license for 50cc's or less...which he had several other scooters (ranging from 50cc-250cc).
I've been driving it around for about a week and haven't had any trouble with it.
BUT, my registration and inspection is out...do you get motorcycles inspected at any old inspection station or is something special required?
