You've never seen a car with different colored emblems? The question you just asked is like asking why do some modified Hondas have red emblems, when the car has stock silver emblems.
You my friend need to begin to think.

I have silver stock emblems on my car and I love em. I'd kind of think I'm unique being that the trend is to either go DFH or Red "JDM" "H" emblems.

At the dealer its like $60 to upgrade to the gold badges. Ive seen a manilo red 5th gen prelude with gold bagde's. IMO gold = ugly.

See proof the trend is to have no emblems.

I been thinking about taking off the badges on mine.....
How did you guys take yours off? like what did you guys use? I want to take off the VTEC sticker too...
And once you take em off does the paint come off?

Alright, here's the thing, some of the badges are not stickers, some are. I believe the "prelude" emblem is a sticker, and the honda badges are not. So when you remove your honda badges, you'll have to fill the holes and get it painted unless you don't mind two little holes on the bumper and trunk. The stickers will not take off your paint tho, you just have to scrub em to get all the goo off.

I took off the "PRELUDE", but the paint has aged faded and you can still see the word on the paint, so I put it back. Sucks how red fades the worste IMO.

Re: (the-one1)
if anyone with a 4th gen cares:
VTEC logo = a sticker that peels off
H emblem = stuck on with adhesive. Two pegs go into the trunk. leaves two holes behind.
Prelude logo. same as H emblem, leaves two holes behind.
