theres been a lot of talk about doing the Acura 3.2L v-6 in a prelude, there cheap engines and transmissions, and you can get a 6-speed manual!!

yea i see it, im actually planning to do it soon but im stroking means to a 3.7 getting the goodies from the new '09 TL. It looks like the motor and tranny should sit just fine might have to make a custom bracket for the rear.

For how big and sleek they are, I think honda should have run a RWD V6 in them to begin with.

But that's just me lol.

You should pioneer it and keep us all posted. I'm sure there are many here who would like to see it done, and you'd probably get some helpful suggestions too.

Flyrod speaks the truth, there's a bunch of us that'd love to see it. I didn't (and still don't) have a welder or easy access to one, so fabbing mounts wasn't an option at the time, so I decided against even messing with it. Would be awesome though.

Definitely when that project gets underway put up a thread and keep us all updated... that would be nasty when completed!

I've been talking about doing this to my 88 Prelude, for years. Just haven't gotten around to doing it due to my Lude being my DD. Got a project CRX, so if and when i can get that up and running, then i'll park the Lude and start to source some V-6 swap goodness. I'd like to do the 3.0 J30 motor out of the 98-02 Accords, i believe, with a six speed slapped to it. If it will bolt up to it. My buddy at work told me the 3.0 has more horse power than most of the V-6's in the Honda/Acura family. I don't know if that's true, but just to have a V-6 in my 88 Lude, would be phenomenal. With a six speed, no less.

With price and availability the J32A2 is the top dawg in V6 honda land, unless you can find a C32A, its like 290 or somthing. I dont know for sure tho. in most cases it just depends what your wanting out of it. I wouldnt mind having the 3.5 and finding a good tranny for it.
TQ wins motor races!
