Timing Belt/manual tensioner/oilpump/waterpump
I will be getting my jdm h22a soon and will be having to replace the timing belt and auto tensioner so i'm gathering all the necessary materials. I've looked and found lists of parts for this but still had a few questions.
First one... what special tools will be needed in order for this to go as smoothly as possible? I've heard of people not requiring special tools but if they make the process easier i am willing to buy.
second question... This is the list I found for the auto to manual tensioner swap but i'm not seeing the actual manual tensioner piece, or do these pieces make up the actual tensioner?? If it's not listed, what is the part number for the manual tensioner so that I may add it to my list.
13404-PT0-004 - ADJUSTER COMP., BALANCER BELT
13415-PT0-000 - BRACKET, BALANCER BELT ADJUSTER
14510-PT0-004 - ADJUSTER COMP., TIMING BELT
14516-PT2-000 - SPRING COMP., TIMING BELT ADJUSTER
14521-P14-A00 - PLATE, ADJUSTER
90014-P14-A00 - BOLT, TIMING BELT ADJUSTER BASE
90015-PT0-000 - BOLT, TIMING BELT ADJUSTER SPRING
90016-PT0-000 - BOLT, TIMING BELT ADJUSTER
90140-P14-A00 - WASHER, PLAIN (11MM)
Third question, Are the water pump and oil pump the same for the usdm h22a1 and jdm h22a?
thanks for taking the time to read and hopefully answer..

Re: Timing Belt/manual tensioner/oilpump/waterpump (drbenne)
You will want to pick up a crank pully holder so that you can get the bolt off without spinning the engine. Powerbuilt makes one. You also need a torque wrench.
The spring is what puts the tension on the belt in a manual tensioner setup.
The pumps are the same for 92-95 models.

Thanks.. ill look into that crank pully holder. I might have the transmission off if i decide to change the clutch myself. If not then i'd rather invest in the tool anyways since i will most likely need one later.
