Ticking noise in car when idle
Im hearing some noises coming from my engine, its when the cars cold and im idling in a parking lot or at stop lights. It sounds like a ticking noise, some people suggested i needed a valve adjustment is there any other things that could be wrong maybe timing belt?

Re: Ticking noise in car when idle (fynal)
Do a valve adjustment first and see if that helps. Your timing belt either breaks or doesn't break, it doesn't cause ticking noises.

The H23 has a pretty loud valve train (if thats what you have), you may want to compare it to others before deciding there is something wrong.

Re: Ticking noise in car when idle (Greyout)
i have this problem too. I get the tick at idle. The tick isnt a constant tick. Its intermittent. What i mean is that its always there but theres no specific pattern. Valves adjusted.
