Stretched tires...
need help choosing the correct size stretched tires to run on some wheels....i think ive decided on some wheels ...theyre 16x7.5 in front and 16x9 in the rear....i know thats pretty wide for the rear and ill probably rub in the back and maybe even the front but thats more of a reason why i wanna run stretched tires...along with i like how it looks...i dont want it to be ridiculous stretched but nice and noticeable and still safe to drive on...
sooo...anyone recommend what size to go with on the 16x7.5 and what size for the 16x9s?
also, any particular brand to go with that may have stronger sidewalls...someone recommended kumho or maxxis....

idk personally i dont see the point in running stretched, your running big *** wheels which means more weight with smaller tires which equal smaller contact patch. And the worst of all most VW guys are all about this so personally i hate it.

You're not getting much help because you're going backwards. You might as well ask how to make your car uglier, slower, and heavier. You're basically going against engineering by changing lots of specs for the worse, i.e. overall diameter, weight, contact patch, and looks. The increased weight of the big wheels will make your car slower. The decreased contact patch of the erroneously stretched tires will give you less traction. The decreased wheel+tire diameter will lower your gearing and make your speedometer incorrect. And the stretched look makes it appear you have no clue what size tire belongs on the wheel. Not the greatest set of goals for a Honda.

you're kidding right? a legitimate answer to "what incorrect size should I use?" oxymoron
OP, you can use the following link to determine proper tire sizes.

But let me feel you in on tire stretch you only do it to a tire that doesnt need no flame ball or what ever people are doing the real tire stretch is all air mounting for example
15x8 +15 offset 3' lip mounting 195/45/15 tires these are for rims that are 15x7'-7.5 so not much of a difference right ? so all you do is mount the tire then it is slightly off all you do is proceed to put the air in it make sure you have lube then put the air in it and try to squeeze the tire so the beed could grab and bam the real way to stretch tire a stretch tire is one size smaller not one rim size smaller lol that is dumb ...

215mm = 8.46" approx
195mm = 7.6" approx
if using what was suggested above, there is no stretch on the front, about 1/4" each side for the rear. what aspect ratio do you plan on running? taller the tire the easier it's going to be to stretch. i'm not into stretching tires and such, but it looks like narrower is needed up front.
Best suggestion to you is to search some VW forums where more people stretch tires and find your answer there. asking here is kinda like asking a ford truck guy questions about your 4cyliner honda... just out of the usual scope man..
