Prelude Wont Start
Car:
1993 Honda Prelude Si
H23 Motor
Intake
Scenario:
Car was put away for 3 years
Car was brought home again and tried to start with new battery
Iso Heet was put in the tank
Symptoms:
1 weekend the car cranks but doesnt fire up
~Check for spark-Blue n White like lightning
~Check for fuel, removed the 17mm bolt and next thing no fuel on the ON Position or While Cranking
Sprayed some Brake Kleen and the car fired up like a champ!
2nd weekend crank the car and nothing
~Check main relay
~Checked fuel pump
~No power to fuel pump
~Ran power to fuel pump and it ran strong
~Checked all Ignition wiring, main relay wiring, ecu wiring,
~ Next thing I hooked up everything back and the fuel pump primed perfectly from the on position.
~Removed the 17mm bolt and the fuel pressure was strong
~Crank the car turn over turn over but never fired up.
~Check for spark and none!
Checked for power to the igntion wires to the Coil Pack
Black Yellow + and Blue -
12.2 Volts
Removed the coil and checked the OHMs on two prongs like Honda Manual which is supposed to be 0.6-0.8 and I got 0.7
Then checked for Continuity from A to C and it says if there is no continuity replace coil but there is continuity.
Still went and bought a new coil and no spark....
Any ideas.
P.S Check for a CEL and when the car is on the ON posistion and as like other Hondas the CEL clicks off and stays off or comes back on if there is a CEL. But this car the Cel is on the on Position ON and then never clicks but stays on!
I go to find the 2 prong connector which is behind the radio and I jump it. The CEL is just SOLID but doesnt flash....Any explinations?

Re: Prelude Wont Start
Check for a ground pulse at the blue wire at the coil. Get a LED testlight or just make one. run the LED to a 12v source and the blue wire. crank the engine. The LED should pulse on and off. If it does not pulse, the IGNITER is bad. The main relay could also be the culprit. But your on the right track in diagnosing the ignition system.
