Yeah, shitty install most likely is what happened. Just sounds a little wierd that it happened to multiple people. I would rather just get yellows+gcs over omins anyday. I never asked him what happened, I didn't want to sound rude since he's paralyzed and I don't really think he wants to talk about it.

That's horrible
Not to be rude to him or anything, but they have torque specs for a reason.

Re: (The Phil)
from what ive read its an actual defect in the product itself. ill search the board and find the post about omnipower coilover failures. as a matter of fact one of the failures occured on a race car during an event recently.

what i'm trying to say is that you can't just dump the expletive out of a car and expect it to not bounce.
there's simply not enough suspension travel before you start getting on the bumpstops. And you can get teins or omnis, but chances are, you're probably too low for them, too.

Re: (bad-monkey)
Bad monkey quick question bought some function and form (f^2) coilovers with 13kg front and 7kg rear. Im dropped about 1.5 inches from stock. Its really stiff and hurts my back when i hit big bumps on highway. Whats a more streetable spring rate?

h22a4sh: you might be on gc+konis but are the koni's revalved?? </TD></TR></TABLE>
well, more important than that is, are they shortened?
if the spring rates are under 550 lbs or so, there shouldn't be a valving problem.

that's pretty stiff. 9/7 like peter said would be better, it depends on what you want out of it.
the tein SS which everyone thinks is really comfy is sprung at 8/4. I'm currently on 7/5. when i used to a/x or track the car, I used to be on 8/10, which i thought was ok, but might be harsh for some.

Re: (h22a4sh)
Thanks for the help. Im def gonna order some new front springs how does 8/7 sound. Or should i order both and do the 8/5. Guy i talked to said i should do a 10/5 but that sounds like to much understeer to me.

Re: (matix)
see the only thing about recommending spring rates is we don't know how you drive.
8/5 does sound a bit odd but honestly the best way (and more $$) is to just try a rate pretty close to each other, once you drive around in it for awhile you will figure out if your rear needs stiffening/loosing
then just order new springs ~50 each. coilovers are insanely easy to take off and replace spring since you don't need spring compressors/air tools

Re: (petern101)
Im thinking ill just buy fronts at 9-10kg and keep the rear how they are at 7kg and see if thats more bareable. Im guessing a 3kg drop in rate in the front should make it more comfy correct.
