i think it may take more than 10 days, to pack, ship to airport, fly to norway, clear customs, get picked up and inspected etc.

I'm from Brazil and I bought a custom honda B16A Stroker Kit for N/A + Nitrous with Frank of PocketRockets too. Paid him on 31st May 2007 and didn't receive it. I send several mails to him and, when he decides to answer, he just say "it will be sent soon". I'm wondering how many months does it take to make a custom Stroker Kit and send it...

Custom cranks take time. Anything over 6 months should be looked at though...you're getting close.

Thanks for your answer mgags7. The problem is that Frank does not send me any emails regarding the status of the custom parts. We made other Civic here and ordered everything from ENDYN, they are really fast and attentious people. I don't know why PocketRockets don't do the same to keep their customers. I'm really disappointed...

We're most likely picking it up later this day. My customer just sendt me a txt message that the engine had arrived @ customs. I'm lying with my head down in the toilet puking my guts out for the second week now. Really need to get this looked at. And i'm still wrenching in the garage. lol.

Lubo_25 : Just read your entries. All of them actually. You arent that stupid that you cant understand the level of what youre typing?

Planetickets over to canada would cost us 11.235 Norwegian crowns each. Not including rental car/transport in general to franks shop. That makes 2,070.56 US Dollar each person travelling.

It would be cheaper to just put some lawyers on him. Anyway. The engine has arrived. (i really hope its the engine) And it obviously helped putting the word out on Honda Tech. We didnt try to drag anyone down in the dirt. We needed second opinions, help and advice of what to do. Since the delivery had taken so long.

Edit #2 : I'd bet the engine on that you and Frank are good mates, since you're on here writing that this is no place to discuss matters like this. On the contrary, this is the perfect place to mention a case like this. With such an audience reading up on us Norwegians dealing with your pal Frank, some cind of responce was bound to be had. And voila, the engine finally got sendt.

I agree that when building a engine this complex takes alot of concern, precision and time. But when you set a date. We expect that date to be held. Totally ok that some parts didnt arrive as planned. We respect that. But when we're told that the parts have arrived and the engine is beeing buildt. Suddenly we dont hear nothing no more. We dont get no pictures during the building process as we're promised and we're kept totally out of the loop. We have a damn good right to be sceptical!

Thanks for the help to all of you that have offered help in this matter. I'll post some pics of the engine and most likely a dyno run as well. We've managed to find a ME edition prelude that we might put the engine in, instead of the Euro 2.2 H22A

lsbrasil : we'll stay in touch via MSN.

Robert, I'm really happy to know that Frank sent your engine. It gives me hope to receive what I paid for, too.
I've been trying to contact him for 1 week and he does not answer any of my emails or phone calls. I hope someone that knows him and is a member of this forum can contact and persuate him to talk to me.

Thank you very much and we'll keep in touch via MSN...

Regards and good luck with the new engine!

well those were the extremes my friend of your complaining and crying yes i know dates should be kept but expletive **** happens lifes not perfect for everyone especially for a guy who has a commitment about making precision ****** motors just make sure next time you know what youre ordering and what it takes to make it youre not going to no grocery store and picking and choosing be patient and relax thats why i proposed what i did h-t is not a place to bring threads like this in makes it look like a soap opera which has no place...enjoy that beast wisely cheers(b)

damn, ive just seen this post, ive spent over 10kUSD with frank. HE IS AN AWESOME GUY. yes my h22 took awhile to arrive, but i never had any doubts about it. i have spoken to frank 100's of times, and have recommened 1000's of people to him.
please understand that frank works by him self, he has no-one working for him, all by him self (as far as im still aware).
he had no idea that the work he cud do would take off so well and so fast.
did you know that he was one of the 1st to custom make and produce hybrid hubs for the K20 swap in a eg/ek? so how many orders do you think he has had from those parts. 1000's pf people have used Franks services, so just remember that he works for him self, by himself, and there is only 24 hours in a day.
i remember him calling me up. my time 9am, his time 3 am and he was still at his workshop.

please believe me on his work, ITS GOOD, REALLY REALLY REALLY GOOD. i will always use frank for my engines.
so give the guy a break,
the engine you have the "rack" will be worth the year wait you have had! i swear it

I can wait how much time he wants or needs, but, come on, no contacts for months and months ahead the agreed shipping date? No email, no phone calls, nothing? We pay in advance and just sit and wait? What world do you live, Lubo? Am I wrong? After several emails (more than you can think) and phone calls, faxes, etc, he replied me today:

"Hi,
I am sorry for the delays and slow replies.
I have been absolutley swamped with things to do.
I had the misfortune of losing a pallet full of goods, through a truck accident.
the crank alloted for you was one of the ones damaged.
I fell way behind in my work and have stopped taking in new work until I get the backlog cleared up.
I have your pistons, they were not involved.
I am working as fast as I can to have your crank replaced.
I should have a better idea next week where I stand on that.

Thanks
Frank

Couldn't he be done that before so the costumer (myself) wouldn't be so worried and angry???

you have to be persistant with frank i ordered custom cp pistons and mid sleeves(which were in stock) the pistons took almost 5 months so when the deadline gets fucked its sometimes not his fault just gotta be patient my friend but i know we live in a performance world and you want everything the next day not happening...not answering emails and such is not good business its always about customer interactions but expletive sometimes **** happens and you have to deal with it thats the world i choose to live in...

Try to understand. You ordered something that is NOT custom, what means you can buy it anywhere. Buying with Frank or Donald Duck would do no difference, right? I bought MID Darton Sleeves for my block and it arrived in 9 days (INTERNATIONAL!). So, think with me. If you have the option to buy it fast and, on the other side, to buy it with Frank and wait 5 months. Would you choose Frank? If your answer is YES, I think I'm really an E.T. :-)

What I mean is, if you wanna do a good job, take your time, but please, pretty please, keep in touch with your client, inform him! You can even send one line emails, nothing more, but it will be VERY important to keep him buying with you. I have a company here in my country, I cannot even THINK what my clients would do if I just let 'em waiting for answers and expired deadlines with no explanation at all...

Lubo, please, don't take it personal, ok?

As a general statement, you can write your contract to read that the said company agrees to pay a $100.00 penalty per day that the product is late being shipped out.

When my wife an I had our house built we had a stipulation that said that the Bob Webb Home Group would pay a $250.00 per day penalty for being late.

The house was finished on time.

Hahahaha ,Im not like that.....but I know sombody that was shot in the stomach over 1500$,so I was just saying that If I personally burned somebody for that much cash, buisness or not,I would be scared for my own well being.

Its all neither here nor there since the customer got the product he ordered, all I really care about is seeing this motor installed and and what kind of set up/ #'s it produces.......Im really curious on how 16k on a h22 turns out.

Personally speaking, I dont thin its a good idea to do business with people in other countries. If u cant get it from your own country dont go trecking across country borders. Cash for goods at the same time. 99 percent of the time you will never get f'ed playing like that.
