Default No vtec at altitude

I have a 2001 prelude, and after i put the hondata s200 vtec will not engage when i go up the canyon to my girlfriends house. oil pressure is good and it works all around town. when the car is warmed up it has a hard time starting, i have to keep my foot on the throttle for like two minutes till it figures itself out. does anyone know what is going on i took it back to the shop who put it in but they don't know what it is either. help me please!

The latter is caused by your ECU tripping the purge control solenoid, and presumably purging.

Have you had the car tuned with the Hondata? I would recommend a trip up to Ft. Collins to PFI, get it tuned right!

And check out Coprelude.net!
