NEED HELP RIGHT NOW! PLZ!!!
hey, i'm in my backyard installing my AEM short ram intake. I have put all the pieces in right, i think. I have one question though. when i turn on the car, it makes the sucking noise and everything seems ok. when I turn the car off, about 2 minutes after its off, I hear a noise inside my engine bay that resembles that of a pager on vibrate. that very low audiable sound. or it could also be compared to a harddrive of a computer spooling. can anyone tell me what this is? I want to make sure I've done all the connections right so that nothing will break on me. does anyone have any pictures of an installed short ram on a 5th gen? I really need help. thx

not to worry bro its normal. Thats the engine just knocking and the throttlebody plate closing up after losing pressure. Just make sure all your connections are tight and everything all pressure hoses are good thats all.

k, one last question. i couldn't get the damn bolt off that connects to the wall thing inside. where the soft mount black thing goes... I think the bolt is put on by a machine cause I can't budge the damn thing, even tried WD-40. I didn't put it on, but I was wondering if there is another way I can go about putting this on? I really want it there so the pipe doesn't flex around when i'm driving. lemme know how to get it on. thanks! =D

the bolt that goes on the thing, that connects the thing.....I got lost, and have no clue what your talking about. Re check your lines to the intake and make sure your seal from the TB to the intake pipe is tight and doesnt have any gap

nevermind, igot the bolt in. I Just want to know, is there any way to make sure I did the install correctly? I started it up and it sounds fine, except for what I stated before about the small noise after I shut down the car. I also want to know, I have a very small cap left over... its very small and I was wondering did I miss something? It didn't say anything about putting on a small cap for the short ram intake. for the CAI though, I found online that there is a "vaccum cap" that goes on one of the small parts of the throttle body. can anyone fill me in?

Re: (skunk2lude01)
On a stock intake there's one hose going to the valve cover (egr maybe?) and one going to the TB. that vacuum cap can close off the one coming from the TB i think. or he can remove the entire hose and cap off the plug right at the TB.
