Need help installing steering wheel?
Alright I'm done doing my steering wheel. Just for Future Reference MOMO hub part # 4917 is for the 92-96 prelude. Also you do have to remove the SRS reel to install the hub. Now I have a new question how in the world do you get the horn to work. Since the horn is attached through the SRS reel how would you wire the horn. I noticed some people rewired the horn to another location if so how did you do that? Also i heard some people installed a resistor in the srs harness to diable the srs light., how would you do that?
Thanks in advance,
Saki
BTW i'll post pics of the whole install later...

The SRS piece has to be removed as well, then the hub will bolt on, however the car will be throwing a SRS light...

I had to remove the reel for mine also.
you'll end up with a ribbon cable hanging under the dash that is the wiring for the airbag & the horn. I wired my horn to what used to be my windsheild washer squirter (I had that system removed). So to make the horn honk, you pulled back on the right stalk, smiliar to flashing your high beams with the left stalk.
I was never able to coil a wire successfully around the hub again.
the SRS light can be unplugged from the back of the gauge cluster.

Re: (Saki)
well, you might be able to...
the horn works from a single wire in the ribbon cable. When the wire is grounded, the horn sounds.
If you are able to devise some way for a cable to go into the steering wheel, and allow 2 1/2 turns or whatever lock to lock, and never tangle or get cut, then you are a better man then I.
It is quite embarassing when it works for a week, and then suddenly the wire binds, shreds, and grounds itself out on the column. Then, either horn starts honking randomly, or it honks, say, every time you turn left.
If you could take apart one of those Greddy remote switches, wire it to the momo horn, and have the transmitter inside the hub, that might work.
I tried elastic/springy wire, (a phone cord) even, and that didn't work. I eventually gave up, and wired it as I mentioned above.
What I DIDN'T consider was that the windsheild wipers automatically go two full sweeps when you spray your washer nozzles. I ended up having a switch on my center console on one of the 4 blanks (on the '94+ console) to disable my wipers.
quite the complicated process, I know, but I ended up liking the horn on the right stalk. If you still have nozzles & they are functioning, and you want to keep them that way, you'll have to devise something else. Maybe a easy to hit button near your shifter.
