I second that...if I had the option of keeping PS,AC,etc...I would....I know it clutters up the engine bay but damn its hot in TEXAS and manual steering kinda sux after you use powersteering.

Re: My Prelude Build (ProjectBB6)
I have the custom AC lines that Hasport used on the prototype K24/Accord. If your interested in them let me know. Im ditching AC & PS.

Re: (mgags7)
I am keeping the power steering and A/C because I am from Kansas and it gets pretty toasty during the summer and its get bad during the winter. But all this is depending on whether I need custom lines made, if I have enough room to run the turbo pipes, clearances and all that stuff. I went with Motegi rims because of the weight (14lbs.) and went with black because red and black is going to be the color scheme. This build will be a street/strip build (weekends at the track) and eventually I will dump all the weight and go straight race with it. I am having troubles finding a K24 around my area and no luck looking online. If anyone knows of a salvage yard or a person that might have one let me know. It would be much appreciated. If not then I will probably have to have the machine shop get the engine, brackets, tranny and the rest. This will probably cost me an arm and a leg hehe .

Plus hes gonna be using a K + a turbo so its not like he will be hurtin for power. If I had the cheddar for a K swap and a turbo i would keep AC and PS too.

Re: (mgags7)
What a waste of money if it's going to be turbo. Just use an H22 and get the same results.
Waiting for a real K-swap thread to come along. Matt, you want do it?

Re: My Prelude Build (LukieLuc)
YESS FINALLY!!
GL to the OP, i will keep up wiht this thread! Also they make PS and AC kits for EG hatch's, and the PS is basically a generic write up for any car, let me know if anyone wants me to find the write up on K20a.org.
On on the AC kit working for a EG working on a prelude... it might work. Look up hybrid racing on k20a.org they sell OEM made style kits for hatches.

Re: My Prelude Build (waynecoSI)
Not to criticize but why are you swapping a K24 if your planning to turbo it? To me personally it makes absolutely zero sense. If you want a 400whp+ turbo engine you can do the same thing for probably half the cost with a H22. The fact that it's turbo'ed make it a somewhat of a moot point that it's a K24. The whole reason imho that you would WANT to go K24 would be to go n/a....

Re: My Prelude Build (94Vtecluder)
Those who say that dont understand the power of the k20 motors. People on k20a.org are making 500-600whp on a stock block Type S motor.
The fastest FWD turbo'd car in the USA right now is Norris;s k series White Integra outta their Clutchmasters race team, they have a destroked k24 rumored to be making 1000 if not more whp. They also were running 9.5 last i checked, i think faster now maybe 9.3?
But see the key to the k series is the head, reworked these suckers have been rumored to make 350+CFM. Although no one has officially come out and admitted this, this is the rumor that the big dogs are pulling that much out of their heads. Public wise you'll see like 335CFMs. But you get my point, the key is the head, the prelude head flows really well, more so than a B but the K OWNS both in flow stock and in how much meat it has left to pull more out when it comes to big HP app.s'.
