Default My 91 Si 4ws.... build started 9-12-07 ......... tons of pictures.

The car, 1991 Prelude Si 4WS.

Video Compilation i made of my car.

Current picture. as of 8/22/09

Current mods.

B20a5 swap
15" Kosei K1's 11/ /07
14" OEM Sawblades..
Custom short shifter.
Greddy shift ****
H&R race springs
Upgraded ground wires.
Nology plug wires. 9/16/07
Black interior swap 9/13 - 9/14/07
Accord rear lip. 9/22/07
Front lip... kinda beat up. 9/22/07
Mustardcat front and rear strut bars. 10/2/07
Integra C.A.I 10/7/07
Battery Relocation 10/7/07
Thermal catback exhaust 10/19/07

UN-installed items:

Tokico struts
Ingalls camber kit
HKB steering wheel release
Online Performance front bumper & side skirts

Started this build early last month after picking this jewel up from a guy of the ************.com forum. Drove to Akron, Ohio to pick it up.

Paid 2500.

Could use a respray due to scratches and dents but that will come in time.

It came dropped on H&R race springs... and thats about it.

the day i got it home... next to the beater.

THe day i got home with it i ripped out the tan interior and began swapping in my black interior from my parts car. which was my old h22 project that got dumped due to it being a pile of rusty ****.

some pics during the swap...

I still need to swap over the door panels and the cluster pod has been fixed since then and the silver face is gone.

Random pics...& one kinda showing the 4ws.

Modified an accord lip to fit the rear & an integra lip i had on an old bumper from my 89 for the front. the lip for the front is just temp. till i get a 1st gen integra lip. The length is a little off so theres a hideous gap. but it doesnt really bother me for now
.

small little photoshoot ...

It has some rediculously loud *** exhaust setup on it, & thats not gonna fly with me, so i went and purchased a used Thermal Catback from a member on ************.com I had this exhaust setup on an old lude of mine and loved it so i knew it would be worth it.

I had to clean this one up a bit though... but it turned out nice. Now im just looking for gasket material so i can install it. Brasso is my friend.

Another part i got laying from a group buy, waiting to go on:

HKB Sports Quick release hub. Just waiting to find the right steering wheel.

Next & actually just installed today...

STB's by Mustardcat. a member off ************, that had a group buy put togeather and made these great stbs.

I have Tokico struts & an Ingalls camber kit aswell just waiting for the day off when i can install them.

My 3 cars... well 2 & 1/2

More updates to come.

i dont think koyo makes a rad that fits, for this car... without modifying the upper rad support.

I have thought about it though. The stock rad is just plain and straight up hideous.

THe headers are hard to come by and are always used.

DCsports use to make them, but obviously dont anymore. besides them chikara, pacesetter & soemthing else make em but i hear bad **** about them in general & theres no way im using pacesetter.

Tint is def. going on though, This is just my summer vehicle & with that i dont feel like baking in the sun especially seeing how im proly ripping the a/c out due to it currently no working. I think theres a leak in the system.

Then i just have to decide what % i go with, i dont want it too dark. What i have on my jeep is just perfect, thats all stock though besides the front windows which i did myself.

hahah. yeah well since its gonna be getting garaged every winter... it will be getting the swap eventually def. not this winter but perhaps 08-09 winter. I have a list of things i still need to do to this to get in the condition i want it in.

As for the volks.... thats a bit rich for my blood. Well atleast more than i want to spend on wheels. They are beautiful wheels though. Im good with a set of rota's or something along that line.

I was lookin at getting these Circuit 8's in bronze or goldish color....

that or just a set of flatblack slipstreams.

I'd love to do a 3rd gen build like you're doing with an H22 and some weight reduction and a kickass suspension setup. Seems like you'd need to have a welder though with the lack of support for some parts...

A good cheap, light wheel you might look into is Kosei K1s.

thats what the yellow one was for... and after i decided to junk it i was even considering keeping it as a strictly track oriented car. Swap the h22 in, & lighten the **** out of the chassis... but yeah my parents, or more so my mom wasnt feeling it.

I think my pops woulda enjoyed the build & track runs. Seeing how theres a drag strip about 45 mins from my house.

The yellow ones a rust bucket though so it prolly would have fallen apart with all the added power and weight reduction.

& those kosei's are real nice but im not sure if i want to go 15's, i was thinkin a 16. I generally like a lower profile tire w/ less sidewall roll. 15's shouldnt be too bad, i mean i could always just get a smaller tire, but the car already sits pretty fawkin low.

koyo doesnt make a full third gen rad. but you can use a civic half rad. IF you do that get a slim fan in there as well to take the huge stock one out. If those rads are good for 500whp h22s i am sure they are good for your engine lol

yeah I was gonna say relocate the battery and put a longer pipe on that intake! But cool car, I love 3rd gens, but they are all falling apart here. And the Rota C8 is a good wheel, I am running it in a 16x7 on my 4th gen, in the royal bronze or whatever its called, pics near the end of the 4th gen picture thread!

Oh and Thermal ftw!! Love mine!

yeah the years havnt been good to our 3rd gens. but some have managed to prevail... that or like mine, have migrated north from there non-rocksalted roads. Mine will be getting garaged from about Nov-april... so as to prevent this from happening any time soon.

Im really leaning towards the C8, it seems to compliment the car more than any other i could find. That or the kosei K1's...

Im gonna try and check out your car, i san through the 4th gen picture thread every few days...i love em. I actually was looking for one before i found this 3rd gen.

& Thermal is the bomb but they dont make this exhaust for the 3g anymore, so i had to jump when the opportunit arose. Plus the exhaust on mine now is sooo horrible. I just call my car the rocket, which is sad cuz it goes no where ...fast.

theres only been 1 person i've ever seen do a b series in a 3g. prelude...and everything was custom made.

if i do anything it'll be the h22 swap.. atleast there is some parts readily available.

only problem then is i can use the h22 mount kit, but the tranny mount would be useless... & i'd have to get something custom made, cuz wouldnt the mount be in a diff. position than the h22's stock trans?
