A Mugen header is a great header - craftmanship and fit is top notch - performance is also good for a stock to modded n/a engine. Mugen is up their with the price range with SMSP/Hytech/RMF. In terms of performance, I would prefer the SMSP/Hytech/RMF. Tuning is the key to these custom exhaust systems though as with any other performance mods.

4-2-1 creates more peak horsepower along with more mid-range horsepower, with little to no loss of low-end driveability.
4-1 gives the maximum amount of PEAK horsepower gain w/ no regards to low-end or mid-range. Typically, you would only use a 4-1 if you're racing and don't need to worry about driveability.
