.: Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil :.
I normally use Mobil 1 Synthetic 10W-30 (Green cap) and was wondering what would happen if I poured in 15W-50 (Red cap)? Does it hurt the engine or what?

It'd probably blow up. Stick with 5w or 10w-30.

Nothing bad is going to happen, and you won't be the first Prelude in the world to use heavy oil. I can't imagine that you will benefit from it, but if you want to use it, knock yourself out. I think 5W30 or 10W30 is good (as the manual suggests), but I am a big fan of 0W-40 for my own reasons.

ok, i was looking around for oil and i saw mobil 1 synthetic auto transmission fluid. Now, i've heard honda ATF has their own additives inside their fluids...and also heard not to use anything else but honda ATF...but what about the mobil 1 synthetic ATF?

Mixing two different oil types can be done but is not recommended. You would have a some unknown combination.

I've been using Mobil 1 ATF in my 2001 automatic since it was new. I now have 66k miles on it, and not a single problem.
I did do a flush on the system when I changed, but now I just do a drain and refill with each oil change. I figure that if I can get some more miles from the transmission with ultra frequent fluid changes, then I would do it. so far I've been fortunate.

thats not too smart if you ask me man.. doing services too quick on cars on a constant basis is no good for the stuff inside youe engine/tranny.
if you dont plan on constantly maintaining this bad habbit id stop.
your car will be used to using super clean fluids and as soon as you accidently put in some thicker stuff or prolong your servicing you will probably cause some nice damage
but i guess youve done it soo many times already that its prob too late to stop lol
and as for combining oil not a big deal expecially when your car burns lol
any oil is better then no oil.. if i had to id stick canola oil if i was that stuck in a situation.. but id get it all flushed out and changed to your regular oil.. or maybe just change the oil you use..
head some brands are better then others for burning oil..
if your car burns oil that much baddd idea to be using synthetic in the first place wast of money nor do you see any diff cuz obviousely your car doesnt run to perfection nor near it
stick to some 10-30 max life or some other high milage stuff.. work a lil better on sealing rings and hwat not..
atleast stick to somehting like that till your jdm swapp.. it would be sooner then you thought if you would have not wasted your money on mobile one synt

Ok, I just did my tranny flush, oil change, and replaced the spark plugs. Car runs better than before, dunno if it's the new spark plugs or the tranny fluid...or maybe everything working together...but the car picks up much faster now... yay!

This has worked fine for me so far. My car hasn't shown any signs of being quite as emotional as you describe. I know my kids get hooked on things I do for them, but now my car!!!! Geez, what was I thinking!!! I thought it was just a machine!!!
Oh well, I have my "bad habits", and I'm sure you have yours.......
(since when is such frequent fluid changes a bad habit anyway???)
