you are a joke....you guys dont understand.....if you build your h23s to put down 190 whp its not gonna be a daily driving car, and you will get stomped through midrange....

one of the aspects of vtec is the ability to have cam lobes made for good midrange, and then switch over the the big ones for high rpm....

the cams you will need on your h23 to hit 190whp will kill your midrange....and i seriously doubt you will hit 190 with 11:1 and a dc header.....you better find a good header.....

and have you figured all of your clearances? are you going to be able to run such a huge cam and a tall compression height piston without things running into each other?

seriously, im telling you, its not worth it......

you would not be proving anybody wrong, nobody says it cant be done, we know it can, but for a lot more money and a lot less driveability...

205whp is easy on an h22: smsp or dtr header, any 60mm catback, and a good intake setup.....s200 tuned.....

think about the long list of **** your gonna do to your h23 for about the same price....

and then think about the future, after you do this, thats it, theres no more potential, but with a bolt on h22 at the same power level, you have a ton of potential left....

im just trying to save you guys money and hassle.....but its fine if you want to, go ahead.....

I am the proud owner of an H23 and to bee honest I would have liked an H22, but they are hard to find, and I waited a while looking for one. I know that the H22 is a superior motor over the H23, but I decided to settle for the second best, and I am pleased with it. Neither of the two motors suck ***, and their both fun to drive.

What ever motor youve got be proud of it and work on it until you get bored with it or feel that there is no potential left.

lol how many H23's do you see even breaking into the 13's all motor? Not very many. Lets see, how many H22's do you see breaking into the 13's with just bolt ons? QUITE A FEW. H23's are a poor mans H22 wether people wanna admit it or not. The 22's have 40 more horsepower and near the same torque as the H23 does. Yea you can get your Tq numbers to be close to your Hp numbers, but when that number is only around 150 to the wheels... uhh... just buy an H22 and do it right.

You feel that there is no potential left on the H23 after you hit 165 whp

I use the 2.5" Megan racing cat back on my prelude with a strait pipe(no cat) and a mugen header with 2.5" collectors. I'm VERY happy with this set up, some day I will get off my *** and post before and after dyno's.

FYI: if you looking for a good place to get the megan racing stuff call the guys at robear racing (in my sig), if you tell them walter sent you it would help me out, and they might cut you a deal.

mabn, i just took it into the shop, and i think its my whole clutch that needs to be replaced... which sux cuz the clutch is less than 4 months old... i used to work at a tranny shop, so im gettin it done for cheap.. but usually bout 350.

some of us dont have the extra 2 bills to pay for the name.. i dont make much money, so i go for the best quality for the least amount of money.. and the quality of these megan racing stuff is great for the money...

dont know about the exhaust but the header sucks ***, you want to pay 150 dollars or whatever it is for maybe 1 hp? you dont gain ****, just save up your money for an RMF or SMSP. trust me, megan racing=
