Default Manual swap, or entire JDM swap

Alright so I have a 98 auto SS, obviously I want to swap to manual. Engine has 135,xxx on it, running strong, burns about 1/2 qt oil in 3000 miles, haven't performed a comp. test or leakdown yet, but let's say that it will be good. I am trying to decide if I should just swap to a manual and leave the engine, or purchase an entire JDM engine and tranny. Money is an issue so I would like to keep that in mind, but I would like to know what you guys think.

The engine sounds ok, and if it checks out, and you have no problems with it just go with the manual swap. Specially if money's an issue. No point in getting another engine if the one you have is good.

If you search you can find one. I can't remember what it is called and I don't have time to look right now. Just look for prelude manual swap and you should find it.

I'd just keep that motor.
Are you wanting just any 5 spd swap or do you want LSD tranny? You can get the M2B4 tranny that came out of certain JDM Preludes and has LSD or if you want shorter gearing, T2T4 from the Si-R Accord. They're $1000 from HMO, not sure about the M2B4 since i never asked but I imagine it's a good bit cheaper. They don't come with the full swap though.

I would like to go LSD, but that's an extra couple hundred, but I know that I will regret it if I don't go that route. I don't know, I'm really torn. Part of me wants to gather the tranny swap parts slowly, and part of me wants to look at trading my car for a manual so I don't have to go through the hassle. As long as I could trade basically straight across then I would do it. I would never have bought an auto to start but the deal I got on this car was way to good to pass up.

And then I have also thought of boosting and going with an H23 tranny since it is a little cheaper and has slightly longer gears.
