just got a 2000 prelude sh what to upgrade frist
ok i just got a 2000 prelude sh its all stalk. what should i upgrade frist .
friends tell me the frist thing to upgade should intake
whats the best brand fora intake and whats the diffrance in short ram and cold air intakes.
should i upgarde the intake manifold as well and is their anything a have to change with it.
then the exhaust after that . what kind of one should i put on it. is the greddy 2 ???(think thats what it is called) is that good exhaust to put on it.
whats good are headers to put on it as well.
what about the clutch should i upgrade that soon to or what should i do next.

search man alot of threads about this but i say intake or plugs and wires and oil change. Cold air intakes make more power than short ram but not that much to matter. Short ram is louder since its shorter thought. If you get a cold air best thing to do is a ebay kit then go get a k and n filter

First you want to make sure it's running perfectly before you start upgrading. I just bought a 97 base model and it had some choppy acceleration until I replaced the air filter. It's a simple thing but you couldn't see light through it and the car was choking.
Once you have all of the basic things tuned up then you should decide how much more power you need and why you need it.
Personally, I love these cars when they're bone stock but others like to tear them apart.
Take your time and buy high quality parts so you don't have to replace the same thing multiple times.

CHECK OUT MY PRELUDE ON MYSPACE ITS http://www.myspace.com/eclipse95ek it is pushing over 325 horses right now but i am having a couple problems with it i can not find the blinker relay and the timing is off so its backfiring and blowing blue smoke and i recently shattered the trans in it lol racing is never good especially in a turbo car that is really not made for turbo lol i just customized it that way but check it out i just bought a new trans and a stage 3 clutch aem adjustable cam gear and a tial 38mm wastegate for it last week and hoping it will run right again i love this car and wouldnt trade it for nothing in the world but check out that site and tell me wut you think and maybe you can help me out on some of my problems as well

you should do general maintenance and then when **** starts to break, you upgrade. if the **** ain't broke don't fix it.
