Default Installing new o2 sensor, F22b 92 prelude

K well i got my f22b in about 3 weeks ago. The mechanic thinks there is something wrong with the o2 sensor, well yea there is. So now that my acceleration blows, and i might as well be dumping gas out my exhaust, i need to replace it. Anyone know if the h23a1 o2 sensor and f22b are the same or diff? Can you give me any tips to the install? Another question, is there more than one o2 sensor, i know theres one behind the cat, is there another one? How long should a install take? Thanks for anyone who can answer any of these questions, or maybe give any more tips

There is one O2 sensor right before the cat. Just get a big crescent wrench to get it off b/c it's a bit large. Also, all you do is unclip the connector, wrench out the old O2 sensor, put in the new O2 sensor, and reclip the connector.

I'm pretty darn sure all the models of Preludes from 92-96 use the same O2 sensor.

I'm glad you posted this because im going to plug for a guy I bought mine off of Ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...%3AIT

It cost me about $58 CDN said and done including shipping.

He will sell off of ebay and pass on the savings to you, he included but connectors and shrink wrap, the shrink wrap I found too big for the bare wires (I soldered my connections) but is probably perfect with the butt connectors. I cut my plug off, stripped the ends and read his directions.

In the directions that he included, it showed various types of 4 wire, 2 wire etc. O2 sensors and how these universal ones matched up ... I'm glad I can vouche for this guy because it cleared my code 41 (secondary O2 heater aka o2 sensor) ... so it WILL work with preludes using his directions! IE: Stock is 2 black 1 gray 1 white, Universal is 1 green 1 gray 2 white .. so it was 2 blck to 2 white, 1 gray to 1 green, white to black (IIRC) ..

It comes with anti seize already on the unit with a plastic cap over the threads so you just have to jack up the car, unplug and pull out the old sensor (22mm wrench), cut off the plug leaving enough room to strip / butt connect the wires together, shrink wrap it using any heat source to heat it up ... then plug it in and watch your code go away after a battery unplug ...

whats kickass is that even universal sensors in my area were going for $100 CDN in my area, this guy saved me almost half ...

With shipping its like $40US dollars ... How many peopl ehave 4416 feedback and have it 100% positive.. sure, 98% or 99.7% .. this guy is a solid 100%!

I highly recommend him ... helped me out and saved me cash and has a great product ...

He was very prompt in getting back to me and shipped the next day after payment was received.

He has 2 auctions right now, the guys name on Ebay is Porchsale.

His e-mail addy is : cousins@kc.rr.com

Do an ebay search for universal o2 sensor.
