idle prob
O ki just bought a prelude for "The pimpin co." and this thing is a piece. So i got my vlave cover on today and went to start it, started fine... but loopy idle. Then i un-plugged the tps and it stayed at about 2800 rpm. Bad tps? How do i check CEL?

Plug the tps back in, it's suppose to idle high if u unplug it, when it's plugged in do u still get the code? If ur having a surging idle try cleaning the IAC, then the FITV. Where does it idle? u say it surges, how low and how high? To check the cel jump the blue service connector on the passenger side, jump it with a paperclip, shoving it in both sides of the connector, I think it's on the passenger side, it is for me but I have an integra, some preludes have it behind the radio I think, anyways, once u do that, the cel will blink, count the blinks, long blinks stand for 10's places and short blinks stand for 1's places.

When i start it, it idles from 2500 to 1000 and just loopy liek that untill i unplug the tps. then it goes up to 2500 and stays. Vac leak? I am running a p13 with this set up. It is very slow and rich.. vtec isnt hooked up. Like it will just be slow whe nto the floor but when i let off a bit it will run better.
