I have a prelude question
on an h22 ,if the timing belt breaks will the pistons hit the valves? My friend says this would be called an interference motor if it does this. Thanks!

I got lucky, maybe it has to do with your RPMs when it happens... dunno.
I was at 97k miles when mine went out. Think the manual recommends changing at 100k.
I was coming back from an 8 hr drive from Baton Rouge to Dallas & when I was almost home I was sitting at a red light & all of the sudden my car starts shaking & it then it died. It actually cranked back up & I drove it home, it died again & I coasted into the driveway. That's no **** either...
Fortunately my valves didn't bend. I'm at 150k now and still running stronge... besides burnin a quart every 1000 miles or so...

Re: (Squad Walker)
someone correct me if im wrong but i think it really depends on how fast your going if your at a high rpm (racing) of course there is going to be damage but at idle or low rpm you might get lucky but either way its noting good

Re: I have a prelude question (prelude_93vtec)
My friend did a timing belt on one saturday. The customer says the engine cranks really fast at start up and the motor won't start now.
