Re: how much would u pay for my lude....
i would deffinately have to say u have alot missing on the info if ur looking for a quote on the car. mileage is big issue for most buyers. even tho its a honda many people dont like buying cars with over 100,000 miles on on. the minor exterior and engine dress up ugrades might find you some noob buyers tryin to buy up from a civic or something but all in all its still the h23 non VTEC when most ppl are looking for h22 VTEC. nothing against the car. i got a 96 lude 2.3 non vtec too but with the economy how it is i only expect to get half of what i payed for it now. imma have to agreee with most ppl on here. id say around 3-3.5k out the door for it. that quarter pannel is gunna kill you if ur tryin to sell it. dnt look horrible tho, id reccoment atleast tryin to fix it some n maybe u can get lucky n they wont think much of it. idk man its hard to figure the price of cars nowadays. good post tho, i wish you the best of luck with it.

Well if demand is higher in your area then you might be able to squeeze 4 grand out... my best bet is to put it up on craigslist or something and maybe post it at 4k and see if you get any hits for it. With the economy being the way it is you're gonna get people trying to talk you down in price, but at least you can kinda see what the interest is.

The demand in my area for clean 4th and 5th gen. preludes is high....East texas....I paid to much for my 96 Si but it was so worth it to get a clean , stock,4th gen.....I gave $5300 for mine and drove 8 hours to get it....so I would say put it up for slightly more than what you want and let it be negotiable.....I would deff. get a shift boot and fix any minor problems that might turn people away immediately....Start the price at $4200 and just see what happens!!!! good luck

Your under-the-hood pics make you very suspect. The loose wires all around your engine bay make it look like a spaghetti bowl. I see that and think "walk away" ... if I were looking to buy a prelude. Get those tie wraps off your coolant hose and get some clamps. realy, what you need to do is take it to a competent mechanic and ask him to clean it up for you. Then maybe you can start thinking about asking for more than $2500-$3000. But that's just my .02 (take it for what it's worth.)

Re: how much would u pay for my lude....
yeah around 3-4 is what u want to try and if its a demand over there than do like 4.2? and see how much it gets lowered.

From UK, i'd say bout 1.5k in pounds sterling. so about $2500, dont know how big your car market is over there tho.

There's no way in hell you're going to get $4000 for that car, especially with the bar rash on both sides, 130,000+ miles, and no air conditioning.
A realistic expectation would be $2500 maximum. You'd be hard-pressed to even squeeze that out of it.
You have to think to yourself: If you were looking to buy a car, would you buy that one? How much would you be reasonably willing to pay for it?

$3000
It looks like you've taken care of it so I'd consider $3000 a fair deal. Mods don't help the value, at least not when it comes to a smart buyer because then you're at the mercy of the master mechanic of whoever installed it all. I'm not doubting you, I'm just saying that the fact that it seems you've taken care of it is the only reason I'd pay that, otherwise, I like to stay away from heavily modded cars cause you really don't know what you're getting unless you've known the person and car for a while.
Good luck if you do decide to sell it, but I think you should keep it.

Re: how much would u pay for my lude....
part it out, a running prelude will fetch 2000$ and your mods will get the rest. regardless of demand and condition an running prelude with no mechanical issues will get ~2k

Re: how much would u pay for my lude....
don't think just because you have some mods on your car that it's going to bump up the resell value if your car. you ought to know that you are going to get only a fraction of the cost for mods so they're best sold separately. and like some members have already mentioned, you have to think like the person looking to buy this car. if i was looking at the list of mods and the car itself, i'm going to come to to the conclusion that you raced it. why else do you get power mods? to go fast. and generally, that is not a good thing to most people. the damage on both ends add more negative points as it shows it wasn't taken care of. adding to the fact that it's the worst color of all, champagne, i would offer 2300 IF THAT. not to be rude but if it were me, i would look at this car for two seconds and move on.
