Default Hid Fog Problem.

I've purchased this 5th gen with HID fog lights. The fog lights would turn on when the car was on, and would turn off when i turn the car off. Lately i would turn my car off and walk away. When i turn back to wave goodbye to my car, i noticed the foglights are still on. I would then have to start my car and manually turn the fog lights off by toggling with the button. Does anyone know whats going on?

I'd start at the fuse block where the switch is wired to to make sure that the switch wiring is firmly seated in a switched power slot. From there trace the wires as needed to make sure that there are no frays or other problems that could interfere with normal operation. Luckily with lights there is not much wiring involved, and only so many junctions so should be easy to diagnose.

I've traced all the fuses and relays pulled it apart and i didnt find anything out of place. The fogs staying on is so annoying, im used to just jumping out my car and walking away, now i have to remember to turn them off.

are you sure you plug it on the right power source? dont plug it where the alarm goes (if you have one) because that plug still supplies power even the car is off. I think I plug mine on plug # 2 it only supply power when ignition in on accessories and its cuts off when key is removed

here's where I got my idea
