Having axle trouble with JDM T2W4 in 4th Gen
I have a little problem and need a answer. I have a '95 Prelude Vtec (usdm). I swapped a JDM H22a (obd1) with a T2W4 Accord-R LSD transmission. The problem I'm having is that the hub/spindle won't reach the lower control are to attach the suspension back together. It's about an inch maybe inch and half from the lower control arm. The axles slide into the tranny and hub/spindle it just seems as if the axles are too long. The axles I'm using are from the usdm H22a1 transmission. My question is, what axles do I have use for this for this LSD transmission ? 4th gen axles? 4th gen LSD axles? 5th gen axles? 5th gen LSD axles? Idk which ones are needed, are the 5th gen axles shorter? I'd appreciate your help. :-]

5th gens are a tad longer then 4th gens, the type of trans doesnt matter as long as its a base model style "non-SH" Both with work for 4th gens, 5th need their own.
You current axles should work as its a H series trans. Your front sway bar and shocks are mounted to the lower control arm. Is the whole front end jacked up or you doing one side at a time? One side at a time may be applying twisting pressure to the sway bar and not letting the lower arms sit where it should while disconnected from the hub. Just a guess, but pics would be helpful.

Both ends are up the front end of the car is on jack stands. I've tried prying down on the sway bar to lower the control arm but it still wouldn't reach. I thought they would fit because it was an H series too but no luck. I know the LSD trannys are about half inch wider that seems to bout the distance the ball joint is sitting from the control arm hole.

If both sides are up, you may need to use a jack and compress the suspension to get it to fit. It will work, just got to figure it out.
