Default Is H2B worth it ??

I had seen the word H2B from someone here and I recently picked up a Hona Tuning magazine and found out what it was. Seems like an easy install but what are the advantages of having a B series tranny on an H series motor and which would be the best tranny to choose among the B series?

You should search H2B in the Prelude Forum.. You will see, this is not a good question to ask this Forum, these guys get offended..

H2B isn't made to work in a Prelude Chassis. And if you don't have a Prelude, then you should ask another Forum, not us..

well the biggest reason people did it is because nobody has aftermarket trannies for the H series, or gears.
Finally Mfactor is making gears for our H series. so IMO i would keep what u got and buy the gears when the come out.... For me with lsd, axles etc, it would just cost 2 much for me 2 swap when i can buy gears that will be strong.....

there are tons of threads about it. better final drive. motor sits higher. uses stock axles. uses easily available b series mounts and parts. etc....

Only benifit to the b tranny is the aftermarket support for it... IMO its a pain in the ***, grinding, funny motor postion, linkage, axles, cost of the kit, install, and now you have a STOCK b tranny that is no stronger than an H, Plus it only fits in a handle full of cars.... [freak] a b series....wait for Mfactory there coming thru!!

I personaly will never do a H2B, I will be having a hard time finding an LSD B series tranny here at my local city, Im fine with an H series tranny B4 LSD, and change the gears, but ofcurse and h2b will be faster vs h22 tranny with stock gears. see this video ---->

I think h2b is awesome. I haven't done it yet but did some research and I personally like it. It's something I will do when I get out of the B-series.

Spend your money on your engine if it ain't already built. Some of them h2b's are expensive you could source a used jrsc kit for the price of some of them and probably get it tuned.

imo yeah its worth it its easy to get b series tranies for cheap, then you have more options for your need with b16 b16ls hydro trans cable trans b18 and gsrs or even a combo like a b16 with an ls 5th gear. to me iths worth it just expensive to get the adapter plate to mate the h2b.
