Default H22a tranny questions, concerns, need advise M2b4 - M2L5

I have an M2B4 - JDM LSD tranny that has a cracked housing.

The crack is in an unimportant area so it really doesn't concern me alot.

However I was just checking into getting a new final drive from MFactory and found out they are not compatible with my tranny housing.

So now I am thinking about killing 2 birds with one stone and swapping all the JDM H22a M2B4 LSD internals into my Prelude F tranny housing.

Then I could buy the new final drive and take care of the cracked housing problem as well.

Thanks for your help

Will all the M2B4 internals fit into the other housing?

does it require an modification or anything?

if not then why is the M2B4 housing diff?

yes, the internals will fit except for the diff. the cases are different because the diffs are different.

but this will not solve your problem. the final drive wont work w/ a jdm lsd trans because of the bolt pattern on the diff, not because of the case. if you want to use an aftermarket final drive, you will need an open diff or a quaife lsd and a usdm case.

Supposedly mgags7 has a JDM LSD in his USDM H22a1 tranny. I am trying to get more info on this from him. And he is runnung an aftermarket Final Drive.
