Default FICV and IACV

Is there anyway to delete the fast idle control valve and Idle air control valve? i am planning on getting a skunk2 intake manifold.

Can I buy a aftermarket throttle body with out a FICV?

You can block off the ficv with a plate. Just make one. On the iacv, loop the coolant hoses around the iacv and ficv. The check engine light will come on if you leave the iacv disconnected. What we did on a B swap with an OBX intake was bolt the iacv under the manifold, (to hide it) and just plugged the connector back on. You can run base idle through throttle body screw adjustment.

Thanks I am running a S300 so I should not have to worry about the CEL. Are there throttle bodies available for the H22 that don't have the FICV spot on them so I can avoid blocking it off?

Yes, ITR, S2k, EuroR TBs all bolt up and don't use the FITV. I have an S2k TB I'd sell you for a decent price Mike. I currently use a EuroR TB, and it looks identical to the S2k TB.

Did you decide to keep the Prelude?

I would think you'd want to keep the IACV so that you have some means to control the idle. I was pretty surprised how much the IACV settings affected the idle on my car.

I had always thought that if you have a Hondata that getting rid of the IACV no longer caused any problems? I could be mistaken.

How do you plan to control idle speed?

As for the S2k TB, $140 shipped. Anyone, let me know if you're interested.
