Word.
Maybe I'll bring my car to WCF too - just to hang out I don't have any of the proper safety gear haha. I painted mine but that makes 3 legit 4th gens that are or were gay purple.
Haven't talked to Roger about WCF - my guess is he won't be racing but may be there.

Yeah i know, we're hoping wrapping the pipe and with the samco hoses being silicone and rated to last hours of temps over 600-800 degrees that it will last. it's a temporary solution, i need to look at getting a flex hose or something. But definitely appreciate the good words and encouragement, thank you!

Re: F22A4 Turbo Build (for anyone who cares lol)
haha sorry, didn't get home til LATE last night. But ran into a few issues as i guess was expected. The TPS was taking a **** we found a ground missing put it on it got better...but was still acting funny, so i ran to the autoparts store bought a new one. This one would read 100% WOT for one pass and then it dropped to 66% everytime have NO idea why it was doing it but he was able to just keep resetting the car turning it off and on again and it would make a 100% pull again. BUT that hose was a problem even wrapping the pipe and sticking a welders glove inbetween it was heating up. Sooo that being said i have a few minor things to fix but he was able to give me a pump 93 tune on just the wastegate that has 11psi spring in it and honestly i'm amazed. All said and done it made 317hp/270tq the motor is running REALLY good. Fuel map is spot on straight line so it wants to make power we were just scared to throw more boost at it and let that hose get any hotter but i'm very optimistic i'll reach 500hp no problem, once we can raise the boost and put the FTW in. I have like one video of a half *** pull cause for the most part i was watching what the tuner was doing i think my buddy took a few with his Ipad i've been trying to get from him. But yeah i'm real happy with it, tuner's happy with it. Just gotta figure out what the hell is going on with that TPS.
and all in all for a 3 year build and to have such few issues to me in an accomplishment. I've done so much over the last 3 years just making sure that everything would go right. My tuner was actually really amazed of how well everything was put together he normally turns down Hondas (he's a big euro car tuner, but has raced honda's for years in the past) because of how shitty people build them, he was impressed. And i'm just amazed of how much torque this thing makes we made the first pull of like 266 and torque was 255 or something and i was like okay that's gonna drop as we go, but each pull seemed torque was climbing right up there with it, so now i may be considering going a bigger slick cause i'm probably going to spin the hell of these small slicks i got.

That/s not bad all in all. Might be a good idea to use a Honda TPS instead of an auto parts store one.
Not sure what your plan is on dealing with that hose issue, but I would think that heat wrapping your uppipe, and using either a flex hose that wraps further away, or maybe even a hard pipe with flex or silicone on either end, would make a big difference.

And yeah we're looking into doing like a coupler -16an hose for the upper hose and get it away from the pipe. I think as long as we get it enough away from it will be fine. It's just now as it sits it literally sits on the hose lol ...not good. But yeah man I think it did good im gonna spend the weekend to try and fix/figure out the issues an hopefully get it back up there before Friday.

what i have seen popular with setups like this is to build an aluminum pipe with bead rolled ends attached to the radiator with rubber couplers. A lot less expensive than going the AN route

Re: F22A4 Turbo Build (for anyone who cares lol)
Also an update is me and Wolfe we're messing around with the old TPS again and doing all the checks of volts and WOT at the ecu and at the tps the old one seems to be acting fine now. I was able to drive the car 4 or 5 times up and down my street without any problems at all. So my guess is the original one (OEM) wasn't the issue it was the motor ground we were missing at the time. At least for now i'm hoping that is it. I planned on ordering another OEM one but Honda doesn't sell them seperate you have to buy the TB so idk how difficult it will be to find. But the BRAND NEW one already had a bad...well lose spring. I swear most these part stores parts are crap. Just holding the OEM one holds up for now have no reason why it was acting up in the first place unless it had to do with that ground.

Re: F22A4 Turbo Build (for anyone who cares lol)
So, we got the hose fixed and the TPS issue worked out. Never made it back to the rollers so took it to MIR on what i got. Friday we got there literally probably 15 mins to late. Thursday night was a mess i had been busy all week with work i was up til 1:00am on Thursday night mounting my engine diaper (which is a pain in the *** on a car that's not an EG/EK/DC) So i didn't get the car loaded up til late that night and by that time i was tired as ****. Woke up 5am loaded the truck with tools and essentials so a little bad planning on my part but we missed first qualifiers. So we didn't get our first pass til 10:30 friday night and my hondata decided to be an *******...i have one of my switches as a aux when on is suppose to hold me to a 5,000RPM limit for my burnout. Well i turned it off after the burnout but for some reason it never went off, it was making me short shift every gear never got in boost then engine shut me down at about the 660 mark i coasted in at a 19.0 at 45mph lol
We got there early saturday got the issue figured out made my second (technically third and last qualifier) run well not being use to two-step i never got the rpms up on the launch, launced at 2800 bogged hard and missed third. Still ran a 13.4 at 108 mph. Looking at the logs this car has an easy low 12 as she sits. I couldn't be happier with how this car ran, it's my lack of seat time that cost me but hey i was just glad to be out there. So i have a few things i need to button up and hopefully get it back to the dyno sometime in the next few weeks and plan on hitting MIR's last test and tune hopefully at about 450-500hp on FTW
I wanna thank everyone who is supported me, especially my friends and family. Wolfe and Matt for having my back these last 2 weeks helping me get everything together in time to run this event. And helping me all weekend figure out the bugs and just giving me a bunch of morale support. I will post pics in a little while of slips and pics my parents got of me at the line i have a couple go-pro videos too. As always thanks for checking it out! Trust me this car is gonna get faster as soon as i can figure out how to drive the damn thing lol

Glad to hear you got it running and out on the track at least!
Might be worth it to avoid using two step etc. until you learn the car a bit more, just drive it manually, pre-load on the brake and use your foot to control the throttle 100% and all. Or if possible, just set up a "launch control" type setting, where it limits your rpm by fuel and /or ignition cut when at full throttle until a set wheel speed, i.e. 15 mph. That is how I have my WRX set up, and I have used it maybe 4 times total. Then you wouldn't have to remember a switch to turn on.

and yeah, virtually that's how we had it set-up it was a launch control that would hold me to 5,000 until i reached 10mph. The switch i was talking about was just to keep me from over revving in the burnout. Like i said it's my first time in a turbo car or any car with this nature in it. So i was trying to creep into the second bulb holding rpms and i rolled in a little quick by the time i was trying to pre-load that pro-tree for lack of a better term scared me lol so i just let off and it bogged. It's my fault though i wish i would of been able to hit a local track or something to get some practice before hand. But I had a ton of fun! I can't wait to get back to the track.

Glad you made it out there man.
I was down Sunday - saw Roger, that was about it. Saw some other people I hadn't seen in quite a while.
Fun event always is..... lots of oil downs on the last day. Gets old. We left before the finals started as it was a 2.5hr ride home.
