drain the gas tank
how do i drain the gas tank i have not run my car foe 5 months b/c it got a bobo
i think i can drain it form the drain plug b/c that is what it is there for but how do i get gass out if the line do i disconnect the line and let the fuel pump do its job??
all ideas welcomed

put the car on jackstands and look for the drain bolt on it. it should be relatively easy to find. get something to put it in, and start emptying. i don't think the fuel in the line is going to be that big a deal, but i guess you could disconnect it like you say and get on your throttle and bleed it...

the best thing to do would be drain the tank and then add half tank of 93+ octane to tank with injector cleaner at the same time , do not run the car until you have done this , what will happen is the 93+ will disolve any unwanted farnish type left overs by basically mixing into the gas present to cause a less combustable mixture,
make sure you by new spak plugs as well ,
the reasoning for the injector cleaner is to brake up the deposists of the old gas left in the plunger end of the injetor to ensure maximum combustability on start up .
but in all reality man .... 5 mnths is not a long time and unless the temp in your area has gotten less than about 20f you ok .
ps. i'm ase and honda cert.
