Default bottom end problems

hey guys, I was finally getting ready to put my engine back in my car this weekend and go get TUNED next saturday for the turbo setup that many probably saw a little over a week ago when i posted pics.....I dropped my oil pan and low and behold there were copper flakes just a chilling at the bottom :'(....My bearings are going, I dont know how long they have been like this but there is no knock what so ever in my engine and everything ran very smooth.. Anyways I am not going to chance it with the almost 2k invested with turbo... I am going to go buy my main and rod bearings today and replace those.
Here is my question. My pistons were in tolerance and were very snug against the cylinder walls. I am thinking about replacing my rings on them when I do the bearings and call it a day. I know that I will have to hone out my cylinders so the rings will seal, but here is the thing. I have everything completely assembled on my top end now, it was ready to go in the engine bay after i hooked up my oil return line. I read somewhere that you can't pull the pistons out the bottom, although I have never heard this I was wondering if that is true. If it is not then i am just going to rotate the engine on the stand and pull the crank, rods, pistons. After that I can just hone the walls and put the new rings and bearings in place and drop everything back in....

How does this sound, is it a gameplan or do I have to pull the damn pistons out the top? Now I have to fool with the timing belt and covers one more time, grrrrr.... This turbo better be promising
Also should i go ahead and put another oil pump in it while I have it droped?

well, according to the helms it says to hammer it out from the bottom (so that the pistons come out the top). While you're there I would just replace the oil pump as well.
