Blue Dash Lights Conversion 4th gen
I know how to do the clock/ gas guages in blue, do you put the same film over the speedo/tach.....
also, for all the little button lights....i remember reading that they have little "condoms" over the bulbs that make them look greenish, but mine have blue "condoms" and they still look greenish...how do you make them look blue??
and YES I DID SEARCH!
edit: If anyone has any other ideas on the blue guage project post em up....
Thanks....

okily doke...
You have blue condoms on your bulbs, and you wonder why it's green. I'll tell yah! mwuahaha.
It's because the bulbs burn YELLOW, thus illuminating ugly green light everywhere.
Simply use a bright blue or bright white bulb, and you'll get your blue (different shade of blue depending on whether you use white or blue bulbs)
for the gas/temp, i also used the film. It didn't seem to work that well, it's more like a teal color, but my tach/speedo is a nice blue. I still have yet to rip open my climate control.
http://www.superbrightleds.com/1157.htm -- second from bottom, that's what yah need.

how many LEDs
For the speedo/tach, you need 5 blue (or white) bulbs, however, that is JUST TO CHANGE THE SPEEDO/TACH. it does NOT change the SRS light, the signal light, nor the high beam (which is already blue).
The signal lights----are WHITE lights, but, on the inside, there is a green peice of plastic infront of the light bulb.... replace that with some blue plastic, maybe some film? And surely, you will get blue light.
Once I'm completely done, I'll post some pics... but I won't be able to get around to it for a little while.
anything else?

Re: how many LEDs (Akhany)
Hey guys, I don't own a 4th gen (got a 97) but I've been doing a complete LED conversion for my prelude and all I have left to do are the gauges and clock. For the clock, I've been looking for some blue plastic I can use but none seem to have the right shade of blue and most of them produce a glare. What is this film that you guys are talking about?
And regarding the LEDs, you should definitely replace the existing bulbs with bright blue LEDs. Order a set of 10 3mm LEDs and about 5 5mm LEDs and you should have enough for your climate control. I got mine on ebay for about $3 for 10 so they are pretty cheap.
Also, if you're changing the lights of your climate control and gauges I strongly suggest you also do your ignition keyhole light. It looks awesome when changed!

ripped it's not so hard really. Just take out about 5 screws under your steering wheel and remove it to reveal the keyring piece. The piece consists of a circuit board and plastic around it that holds the circuit board in place. You're gonna need a soldering iron to unsolder 2 large soldered leads which hold the circuit and the plastic together. After that, simply remove the plastic and you'll see the small rectangular LED you need to change. I just used a 3mm LED and sanded it down A LOT so that it would fit. Reassemble and you're done. It sounds pretty complicated but once you get started you'll see how everything works just by looking at it. Goodluck

Re: how many LEDs (ItalynStylion)
Anyone know of any local store that would have the film I need to do my clock. All the one's other people have used need to be purchased online and I don't wanna have to wait for shipping or pay for shipping charges.
Where could I go to find something similar to:

For all the parts... your looking to spend maybe $250, but installing is a bitch.
Heres a link to install it, but its on a 4th gen bb4
