Default best bang for your buck 4th gen suspension mod

This may be common knowledge but i doubt it. The 5th gen prelude SH rear sway bar is a direct bolt on to our 4th gen preludes. The fitment is perfect. The SH rear bar is solid instead of hollow and makes a big difference in how the car feels around the corners. I got mine for 55 shipped off ebay. This is def the best bang for the buck suspension mod ive done so far. Hope this helps some people.

I just emailed a seller on ebay about one of these, it was a used auto-parts online shop though. I said if they havent sold in a week when I get paid next if they would take $65 with free shipping. They want $55 with $35 for shipping... Wont hear back tell tomorrow lol, who knows if they will agree or not.

Cool idk if mine was a steal or standard pricing. It was from an auto dismantler tho so calling around to those may be a good idea as well. Im currently looking into a better endlink option it feels like they are the weak link now.

Neat, I had no clue they were direct bolt up's. I am running 5th gen toe arms on my 4th gen. Similar reason, the 4th gens are flimsy hallow (kind of crush bent) metal where 5th gen toe arms are solid. I'm going to have to go to the junk yard now and grab a set of these bad boys.

I just bought it after a little haggling lol. Ended up at $75 shipped, also includes the 5th gen end links.

Nice sparksman good buy. I cant confirm that the end links work but u could let us all know. I heard they are a stronger design.

lol ya becuase I bought the only one. I knew about this for awhile but never read much into it. I had money for parts anyhow so I just jumped on it when he dropped the price. If he hadn't, I would not have got it.

You have to wait for a type-SH to be parted out, most fix them up. They were only around the last few years and high end for its time. I see them from time to time. But not as common as a base 5th gen at all, which is another reason I said F' it and got it. Might be a minute before you see another.

Time is money, i wanted it now and i got it. Shipping is what got me, not the price of the part. If I waited could be months before I see another, or two days. No saying Id have money at that time either.

Good luck, i doubt many junk yards have ludes, let alone SH's though. Only 1 SH in all of WA or OR being parted out right now on craigslist. Most big yards around here advertise on there.

How much for shipping though? Northern Cali is quite huge lol. In a box there big and awkward to ship. Figure at least $20 bucks minimum on top if you cant pick up in person.

Have you guys tried checking the price of the bar brand new?

Im going to do a TL type S bar on my TSX. Majestic Honda (bernardiparts.com) or any other honda parts site had the bar, bushings, brackets, and hardware for $58 shipped, brand new. Ebay had used ones for $60-75 :/

Its $94 shipped. Basically $20 bucks cheaper for a used one. Most cars arent abused enough to really wear out a sway bar. Used wouldnt be bad, especially if you can get it for around the $50 mark said and done. No matter what if its being shipped its $20 bucks more.

Great Post! NO idea 4th-gen preludes rear sway bars are hollow! ..

Now does anyone have 5th-gen base and SH to compare?

Base 5th gens are hallow as well, only the SH is solid. I wouldnt doubt if 4th and 5th gen rear sways share the same part number. But they do use different end-links.
