anyone considering tokico read this
So i bought a set of tokico hp (blue) struts and springs cause i thought they were a good deal. I put them on my car and to my dismay i realized that the front of the car was sitting much higher than the back. the rear lowered the full inch and a half as was claimed by tokico but the front only dropped about a half inch. They were correctly installed and i have double checked all of my work to ensure this. I called tokico and it took me about an hour to finally talk to someone in person. Then they basically blew me off and told me to take it up with the company who sold them to me. So if you want a new set of struts and springs and dont want the *** to drag, dont buy tokico.

yeah, I have had blues for a few years now with no problems. not the tokico springs though... I got a deal on neuspeed. Where did you get them from? maybe they mixed up a set of race/sport?

No its not tokico, this same thing happened when I tried the neuspeed sports. The problem is that you have a old prelude 10+ years old. The front stock springs are old and sagging, or either a coil has cracked on the spring, either way your stock setup naturally lowered on its own. Then when you installed a spring with not to aggressive of a lowering claim, it raised your car up, same thing happened to me. First of all, it takes a bout a good week or two to settle (for new springs), then you gain another half inch in lowering or so. Anyways, if your car was brand new and your springs were new, and then you install the 1.5 inch drop springs then your car would accurately lower by that amount. Only way to get accurate lowering on old cars is to use coil overs.. Or get just slam that ride...

Exactly. The fronts coils for example (being the weight at the front) will lower faster either way and eventually your front end will lower naturally.
I replaced my coils in the front (oem) and my front sits up an inch or more higher than before. My backs havn't sagged alot so it looks about even anyway.
BUT, the op said he got struts AND springs so I don't know what the issue would be. Perhaps the springs he got are oversized.
Did you measure them as far as height goes? If they have part numbers on them you should post and someone could match them and see if they are the right ones to meet your demands.

one thing i have seen is a lot of people judge drop based on fender to wheel gap, and compare the front and rear....not thinking about how the fencer arch is larger up front, as it needs more room to deal with the wheels turning...

i bought the whole kit in the past which comes with the blues and tokico springs. they were practically a stock replacement because it looked like my car didn't lower at all. i even waited for a couple weeks for it to settle, but it was still a 4x4.
if you like your car slammed, stay away from it
