AC Pressure Switch
I have to replace a bad AC pressure switch (high side)on my 93 Prelude VTEC. Is there a schrader valve under the switch to prevent the charge from escaping or does the system need to be evacuated and recharged in order to change this switch?

seriously, you are very high if you cant realize that you need to recharge the system after you drain it.....
i dont know the exact setup, but if the pressurized freon runs through the switch, youre gonna have to get it evacuated....
clarify more, i dont know where the switch is, locate it for me and i could help more....

i got confused..... i didnt know that putting r-134 into the system is called recharging... i know im an idiot.
but anyways recharge yourself its easy ...lol
btw auto zone sells a can of r-134 with the connecting piece attached so you dont have to buy that one piece to transfer the freon. If you have seen the older can you will know what im talking about.

OK, lets start over. Most auto AC pressure Switches are mounted on top of the same type of air valve that you find in a tire. This is done so you can change the switch without losing the freon charge.
The problem is, you can't see the valve as it's inside the Pressure Switch when it's mounted.
I have never worked on a Honda AC before and I just wanted to know it they use this valve like all other US manufactured cars.
Thanks to whoever might have the answer.
