Why do you need anyone elses opinion? Can't you decided that for yourself?
How old are you? Do you need parent supervision to make your daily decisions for you?
A car is a car, what you like is what you like, never make a decision based on the opinions of others.
Its going to be your car, so you make the decision and live with it at least you will know you made the call and can blame no one but yourself.

But since he is asking for our opinions I'd get the civic. More aftermarket support. Whatever you end up getting, just don't let Uncle Ben drive it (no rice).
