man its been so many months now since i have driven my lude, i can't remember if the seat belts works properly
but even then i don't like the idea of someone else working on my car. i would rather have them hand me the replacement parts and i would install them

NHTSA Recall History
1996: Certain ball joints can wear out prematurely and, in worst case, would separate, causing front suspension to collapse.
thats kinda scary

Transmission noise: The transmission grinds when shifting into fifth gear due to mismanufactured shift fork. (1992-95)
does this mean i can get it fixed for free.....it says it was a honda repair bulletin???

1- My boys seatbelts are so worn they are starting to shred, can he still get this covered?
2- Grinds going into 5th gear but I thought it was because the tranny synchros were shot
3- Will they still honor this even though he has a H22 swapped in his 4th Gen?

Guys, the ONLY way they will replace your seatbelt is if it doesn't retract. Just because they are frayed does not mean they will replace them. If they are frayed AND they don't retract, then they will replace them.
As for the grinding issue, it is NOT covered under an extended warranty. It is JUST a common problem.

Doubt it. Recall is a recall, safety issue. You do have to be the owner of the car though.

"Also, the button that keeps the seatbelt tongue from sliding down breaks." What part of the seatbelt is that referring too?

"Seatbelts/safety: Seatbelts may not retract or may retract slowly. Also, the button that keeps the seatbelt tongue from sliding down breaks. The belts should be serviced under the Honda Lifetime Seat Belt Limited Warranty. (1992-96)
Steering problems: The car may drift to the right on flat roads due to a faulty spool valve in the power-steering system. (1992-93)"
My '92 Si has both of these probelms...
- If I bring my car to a Honda Dealer, will they fit both of these problems for free??
Secondly, what exactly do I say to them, "I'm Rick James... FIX MY BELTS, BITCH!?"
(Chappelle Show, anyone?)
But seriously... What am I supposed to tell them?
Thanks for the help guys. Peace.
P.S. - Can I get Honda to fix the security flaw in the in the 4th Gen. Passenger Side Power Door Locks too?
