5th gen under dash mystery wires/plugs and sunroof problem
Hey guys i'm having a bit of a problem. I've had my 5th gen ('97 SH) for a few months now and the sunroof never worked. I decided to look into it now (since summer is over in New England, perfect timing right? ) Well I try looking behind the dash at the back on the sunroof switch and I spotted a connector just hanging out not plugged into anything. Here are some IPhone pics. sorry for quality. it's 11:30 at night so i was trying to hold a flashlight at the same time. Help me try to identify them?
For location reference, the large connectors in the 2nd pic are the ones above the fuse panel. Looks to be a black, and blue/grey wire.
Another couple things I found that weren't hooked up were coming from a loom in the corner by the firewall. A single orange wire w/ some red on it maybe?, and a connector with a red, white, and red/yellow wire. I'm trying to figure out if one of these is at fault for the sunroof not working.
As for the actual problem with the sunroof, when I push the switch to close the sunroof (already closed) I can hear the motor try to close, but when i hit the switch to open it, I get nothing. Anyone have any ideas on what these connectors/wires are for and if they need to find a mate? Any insight on the sunroof problem? any help woudl be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Re: 5th gen under dash mystery wires/plugs and sunroof problem
Does it try to open at all? Have you tried pushing up on the sunroof as you are trying to open it? I know mine would get "stuck" in the closed position occasionally, and had to give it a little help. If the motor is trying to work going towards the closed position, sounds like the wiring is all intact. Some of the connectors under the dash just hang there (well, usually, there's a little holder for them); some of them are for erasing data memory, like the ABS and SRS systems I think.
