Default 4th Gen JDM Amber Front Signals

I know there was a thread not too long ago about this. I'm not sure what the conclusion of that thread was, but I ordered some.

I got it to work fine. I just had to make a hole and cut 3 slots into each hole on both side signals.

My OEM 95 clear/amber signals were very chipped up, and foggy.

Also the amber USDM sides look like this
The JDM's look the same as the front, but don't have the USDOT reflector(I prefer this look)

I can get some pix if anyone is interested.

you dont wanna make a hole, bc there is no reflector to distribute the light, nor mask the hole....

you will see the hole or the bulb through the front of the light.....

it's funny to see these kind of things.

EDM ludes have the same lenses as JDM ludes and I made those driving/corner lights into my EDM lenses. And you do the exact opposite

It's the same with the rear fog light, all EDM ludes have a rear foglight. I removed mine because it made the rear of the lude ugly. And I know some people in the US want that rear fog. And yes, I am a little jdm ***** myself.

Oooooor, you could throw me an offer for my USDM side turn signals. They are in good shape. I would not consider them near perfect. Good shape would be the best way to describe them.

I will take another look at them today just in case you are interested.

The two signals closest to the license plate took a beating. The sides lights are fine though.

Anyway, let me know.

Well I wanted new ones and I forgot the JDM's didn't have a side signal untill after I paid for them. So instead of just selling them I made them work.

Personally now that I've done it I think that it looks better then the UDM ones. The SAE reflector isn't on the JDM side-signal. Makes it look more clean, w/o that ugly reflector.

At night its brighter then my origional signal.

I don't see how you can say that there is no reflector, the backing is that spray chrome stuff that the USDM signal has. Also there is that parabolic shape w/ a bunch of little humps on the backing. The front amber lense has this hump shape too.

The main difference is there isn't as much visablity of the car if another car approchaed from the sides. If you look as the second pic I posted you can see the flash reflected alittle so either way its safer then the black ebay ones out there. It has better reflection then the "Euro" clear signals also.

You can't see the bulb to the point that it looks bad. You really don't notice it at all.

Gimmie a couple of days and I'll get some close-ups and some night shots that arn't off of ebay, and have a better resolution.

imo - with the "JDM" ones NOT lighting up looks very weird. Even though it doesn't have that reflector thing, so what it looks better. There is no function to it and who would really notice it without the reflectors like the usdm ones. As long as it's amber in color it's all good with me.

i have two pair of the usdm sides for sale if anyone wants it ( just the far left and right side like the first picture above) and is stuck with those no socket jdm ones = are the loose.

I dont really mind the no reflector and the jdms not lighting up IMO it looks nice i also have the amber side markers to go along with them so it evens itself out and looks lean and good when all lite up

the JDM ones dont light it because you are ment to have the JDM fenders with sidemarkers with them. Get the sidemarkers and call it a day

I don't agree. It's not any harder to drill the hole in the signal then it would be to drill a hole in you fender, and then run the wires. Its also alot easier to go back to stock, not that anyone would.

Here is pic I have. I'll get somemore tonight. Does anyone know of an easy(free) way to resize some pics? Anyway.

why not that bright? You still have a white bulb flashing on amber...It will be brighter if anything because there isnt the relector piece blocking it.
