2001 Prelude Keys, IMMO and ECU Help
Hello everyone. I already went through so much info, but maybe someone can point me into the right direction here. So, I bought a very clean 2001 Prelude Manual with 40k miles from the auction that was a stolen recovery, ignition was broken, and they stole the immobilizer module and some wiring, but it did come with gray and black keys, instead of buying everything separately, I got another 1999 Prelude from the guy I know, but it is with Auto transmission, and no keys. Before doing any research I took ignition locks to the locksmith, and they made it work with original keys, so in my head I thought I can just install everything and since keys and ECU are original it would just work right away, but it would not crank at all, then I found a way to bypass immobilizer by jumping 2 wires going to it (whoever stole it, have done it before, because these 2 wires were cleaned up, and you just have to pinch them together), now I got it cranking but no start, meaning ECU still doesn't like something. Do I need to initialize the immobilizer with the ECU? Or What am I missing here? Would appreciate any info.
