Default 1991 H22a Prelude info?

Im looking for specs from a 1991 H22a engine? I have searched pgmfi.org and cannot see any info on the earlier model Preludes only 92-95 models and later. Does anyone know where I can find this info?

The transmission plate definitely says H22a and the ECU is a p13, I just need to know what difference there are between the 1991 engine and 92-95 engine.

Thanks in advance

92 was the first year the h22a was made, so you do not have a 91 h22a engine, at least not a usdm or jdm one, maybe some euro honda came with an h22 in 91 but ive never heard of one, in any case a 91 h22a should be the same as 92-95

wait a minute...a 91? does it have pop up headlights? or is it the 4th gen body style.

remember folks, the 92's body style started production in like july of 91...so....keep that in mind. it may have been built in 91 and assembled in 91, (late 91 ofcourse) but its under the 92 designation

yeah, most cars start selling 6 months or so before hand, ie '06 models will come out in july or august...so the date is most likely date of production, not date of the model, but what will answer it is if the body is pop up headlights and looks like the 80s civic or if its the 4th gen body style that started in 92

Were the h22's made in 91 the same spec as the ones say made in 94 say if you were comparing h22a's for example?

I only have the engine and not the car you see so I cannot tell.

Will my engine be OBD0 or OBD1? I have a P13 ECU if that helps

Thanks

JDM H22 was available from 09.1991 (I got one).
There's no difference between '91 JDM H22 and the rest (till '96)

Can someone confirm that my engine is likely to be OBD1?

The engine is going in a CRX and I have just bought a OBD0 to OBD1 conversion harness. Looking at the age of the engine I would say its boderlining on OBD0 but then again I cant see honda doing that for the sake of 1 maybe 2 years

It is OBD1. Even 3rd gen Prelude (late models) was OBD1.
