*HELP* 96' VTEC - replaced 2 injectors and it's running on 2 cylinders?
I had one cracked injector on cylinder #1 and it ran okay missing a bit and stuttering and smooths out a bit above 3,000rpm.
So I picked up two new FJ265 which is OEM replacement since they only had 2 in stock.
I pulled 2 of my OEM injectors, the cracked one and the one that looked the worse out of the 3 remaining.
Put the FJ265s on cylinder 1 and 4, and left OEM on 2 and 3.
I started it up and it's running a little rough like it's not hitting on all cylinders.
Unusually enough I felt the headers to see which ones were hottest.
Cylinder 1-3 were hot and 4 was not quite as hot. It seemed though cylinder 1 and 4 were cooler than 2 and 3.
So my question is, is it required to replace all 4 at once with FJ265's? Or something?
I made sure they all clicked in, could it be that I put the injector connectors on the wrong cylinder #? lol
Here is a picture of my plugs to identify the problem as well, these are the old ones prior to installing the new injectors. 1-4 - 1 being closest to the transmission/ throttlebody - 4 being closest to the crank pulley/ belts.
THANKS

Sometimes you think youre getting a vtec injector but you get sent a base model or regular si injector. You need to thoroughly double check the injector model number with the company again.
This happened to me before.

Well its less likely that you didnt connect them correctly bc theyre so short. Youre sure you got the exact same ones you removed? also does the car act the EXACT same way it did before you changed them? I know with diesel it takes so long to clear the air out to get them running smoothly
